Being checking out the difference of Microcurrent and Galvanic on the official web but it doesn't say anything about the negative or positive current, it mentions direct or alternate current and amount but not negative or positive. Must go on searching to find out, obviously I don't know much at all about 'currents'!! Embarassed

I don't have a NuSkin but I do have a microcurrent device. Basically, there are two currents, positive + and negative -. The negative current is used for cleansing debris from the skin, the positive current (which I think is also referred to as Galvanic) is used for pushing topicals in. So think of it in this way, negative = out, positive = in.

I'm not sure why you would need a different gel for each treatment - but I recently got the Rankines Gels and they do have a pre-treatment gel and a treatment gel. But I would think any conductive gel would do the job. For the positive current, just apply your topicals underneath the gel.

Thank you Keliu! Very Happy
It was my train of thought too, that the positive was what would do something after the negative had cleared the path. So, if I add no serum, no nothing, but just a conductivity gel on the positive, should it do something??? Or is it all just helping the cleansing products with the negative to help clear the pores, and the positive for the products to get further in? I guess the pretreatment and post-treatment have different ingredients in this sense.
Just wondering if using 'only' a conductivity gel it will do anything, like it seems to be with the latest Nuskin.
Guess I'll just give it a try and see if I notice anything.

Gosh, I'm editing actually, I get so tired of waiting for my answer to go through that I press the 'submit' button after half a minute, in this case I've spent quite a few minutes waiting for the answer to go through, and edited several times without the answer appearing...
Can't understand these lately problems, and neither do I understan why when I re-edit a repeat it appears with no problem just once! Confused

Just press the "submit" button once - then go away and make a cup of tea. When you return, your post should be entered!

As I see it, the reason for putting the topicals under the gel is to get them to penetrate deeper into the skin. The gel is merely a conductive agent to make the current penetrate the skin. It could be that the NuSkin and Rankines gels contains some beneficial ingredients, as well as being conductive. I would still apply the topicals first.

I went to a presentation on NuSkin last night and they did half the faces of volunteers and I had one half of my face done and could see a difference, but I've been conned with that before with general massage where they do half your face. So am a bit sceptical and wondered if there were any original posters still using the NuSkin (whether with their gel or not)?
