Has anyone tried La Roche Posay Derm aox serum? It is their new antioxidant serum. It has been out since the end of 2009 and I am curious what people think of it. It is supposed to protect against oxidation AND glycation, which has more to do with our natural aging process that we can't control (as opposed to sun exposure). So far I like it but I think it may be causing a bit of irritation on my cheeks. I will continue to stick it out, the bottle is lasting quite a while. |

I have been curious about this since reading about it a magazine. I haven't been able to find the complete ingredient list any where yet. |

Today is the first day that I've used Derm AOX. It seems to soak in fairly quickly. The color was off-putting since it looks like old vitamin c serum, but the box says the color does not effect the efficacy of the product. It came in a pack together with a tube of Anthelios SX, so I used that on top. |

Hi, I just got this at SDM last week. Too early to tell yet, but love the sleek packaging. |

The texture likes ANR and easy absorbed. I think it's better than SkinCeutical A.G.E both on price and package. For the result, I felt they are comparable. |

Yes I do find the color a tad off-putting for the same reasons you mention. I am not sure if I believe La Roche Posay when they say it does not affect the efficacy. All of their Vitamin C products including Active-C and Redermic do eventually oxidize and turn brown (I have seen the testers tubes at the drugstore where they are sold, and they are usually either dark yellow or brown). I am still trying to find out if this product is irritating me. I might have to get a pH strip and see if the pH is too acidic. I dont do well with overly acidic pHs and most vitamin C serums.
The serum does contain Pycnogenol which is supposed to be must more powerful an antioxidant than vitamin C or E though, which is why I bought the product to begin with. |

I bought this last week when I was traveling and very excited to see a CVS
I think that the color comes from the pyncogenol, because other products with this ingredient have the same sort of color (such as Derma E).
It feels nice on the skin, and I think it's a great mix of antioxidants. I'm a bit hooked on the A.G.E inhibitors as of late. I treat it as a serum and top it off with a lotion or cream as it's not very moisturizing per se. It does have a bit of a tightening effect on my face.
I'll update if there is anything to report, but so far it's thumbs up. I think that the stronger vitamin C's are a bit irritating to my skin and perhaps not necessary, for me anyway. So it's nice to find another antioxidant serum for a decent price. |
