I came across a new sunscreen. The company claims it being all natural. But I am not so sure by looking at its ingredients. Can someone shed some some light here?
Here is its ingredient list:
Water, Zinc oxide, Squalane, Ethyl Macadamiate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Silica, Sorbitol, Beeswax, Agar agar, Hydrolyzed Lysolecithin, Capryloyl Glycine, xanthan gum,Lavender oil, Ylang ylan Oil , Linden extract, Horse chestnut extract, Sodium Citrate, Arginine, *BG (Butylene Glycol), *1,2-Hexanediol

I only see zinc oxide as a sunscreen filter. Does it give you a percentage on the zinc oxide? Does it give a spf rating?

If the sunscreen ingredients are not that high (and there is not a percentage listed for active ingredients) I suspect the protection could be quite low.

After water the ZO is the first ingredient listed so it may be a high concentration. The SPF would be important to know though. Smile

Sorry to bump in on this thread but I also purchased a sunscreen (Sothys) and I'm now thinking that maybe its not the best one I should have got - anyone got any suggestions for me?

Sothys Sun Shield Gel for Face & Body
Broad spectrum with very high sun and environmental protection SPF 30+

Description says: Moisture protective formula with Hyaluronic acid, Almond, Hazelnut and Rosehip oils to promote skin suppleness and elasticity, for long lasting moisture retention with a non-oily matt finish. Gentle formula for maximum skin tolerance

Contains: Octyl Methoxycinnamate 80mg/g 4-Methylbenzylidene camphor 30mg/g, Butyl methoxydibenzoylimethane 20 mg/g

Would love to know if its OK to use daily along with my MMU for good protection.

It doesn't give the percentage on the ZO, The SPF is 16+. Its texture is nice and light, but I suspect it is not protective enough being a sunscreen. I felt lots of heat on the skin when I stayed in sun for more than an hour with this sunscreen applied.
