i just ordered some more hazelnut oil and just want to sing its praises or minimizing pores. i've lost a little elasticity over the years and a nice 2 minute massage with hazelnut oil just seems to shrink them!

anyone else notice this?

hazelnut oil (i only use cosmetic grade) also brightens my skin tone and smoothes its texture. i forgot how excellent it is because i used to buy it in a little store in paris and haven't come across it in a couple of years. i finally bought some online and was so refreshed to see the same beneficial effects i was used to when living in paris.

just thought i'd share!

Hazelnut oil is considered valuable in giving facial and body massages. It has a high content of essential fatty acids like linoleic acid. Hazelnut oil has a very light, pleasing sweet aroma, which is also somewhat nutty. It is a highly unsaturated vegetable oil that boasts of its fine texture. Hazelnut oil, the botanical name of which is Corylus avellana, is easily absorbable and therefore penetrates fastly into the skin.

Hazelnut oil has proved to be very effective in tightening the skin, thereby acting as a superb toner for the skin. It also aids in the regeneration of cells and strengthening of capillaries. Hazelnut oil massage is quite effective in protecting children from the clutches of respiratory disorders. Apart from therapeutic properties, the oil is known for its moisturizing qualities as well.

Hazelnut oil provides numerous health benefits for which it is being increasingly preferred in the preparation of carrier oil blend. The best part about using this carrier oil is that, it does not leave an oily feel behind. The oil is also known to efficiently play the role of an astringent. For acne prone skin, it is of utmost importance.

Hazelnut oil provides soothing and relaxing effects to the skin, thus it is extensively brought to use for the purpose of spa massage. It also has the ability to filter the rays of sun and it is owing to this reason that it is over and over again used in the making of sun care products. The oil is often used as an additional ingredient in the preparation of creams, soaps, lotions and hair care products.

Just thougth I would mention that hazelnut oil is the main ingredient in Clarins Lotus oil. This treatment helps normalize oily/combo skin.

Check out the price of the Clarins and you I am sure you paid a lot less.

Thanks for posting. I have not used hazelnut oil in a while so I forget what it was like. How are you using it? before or after cleansing?

Same for all the pricey decleor oil blends, they use Hazelnut Oil as the carrier oil for the essential oils. Smile

oh wow, good news, then! I highly recommend trying this oil on its own to see if it is comparable to those products.

i just bought 16 ounces for $5.50, from Mountain Rose Herbs. Their customer service is impeccable.

I'm using this oil just after washing my face, using a light massage, before applying my daily moisturizer.

You can use it as a moisturizer alone, but I have dry skin so I'm still doubling up before the summer.

avalange,

I love this oil, I even incorporate it into my THDA anhydrous Vitamin C recipe and I am thrilled with how it works for my skin. BTW I have very normal skin so it's great even if you aren't naturally dry. Smile
