Hi everyone,
I wondered if anyone has used hyaluronic acid fillers to create a corner lip lift? I've heard some derms do this, and wondered if someone could explain exactly where on the lips the filler was placed to create this effect?
many thanks

I have had filler (resty & juvaderm) put in 2 corners of my mouth/lip where lines were starting to form to fill them back out, but not to lift. And although it does slightly lift, I also get a small amount of botox in my lower jaw muscles and that does help lift the corners back up and then add the filler. I tend to clench my jaw when sleeping, so that relaxes that powerful muscle and releases it back up. |

Hi Jackie,
I also get filler (Restylane) in the corners of my mouth and I also get my upper lip outlined. This helps to provide "structure" to my lips and does provide some lift i.e. if my face is stationary, my mouth does not turn downward.
Hope this is a little helpful!
BTW, this will last nearly 18 months for me. |

I haven't had this done but I do have a friend that used this procedure and I have to say that I was very impressed!
That application of botox is considered "advance" so not every plastic surgeon/dermatologist feels comfortable doing it. I'm glad you know one! |

Josee-you are right. I have gone to several med spas that will inject it there.
The first time I had it done, I had too much. But the next time or two by trial and error we were able to get the amount of units just right. That muscle can be very strong normally, but I found that I really didn't need that much there. |
