I want to some vitamin c serum north with a couple of my snow-bird friends. What is it that causes the oxidation? I know when I first purchased it from the dermatologist I would blend crystals with a liquid every couple weeks to make a new batch. Any suggestions on how I could send my friends north with enough to last season?
Thanks for any help. I have found these forums really helpful. |

Exposure to air/light causes oxidation, and generally its going to happen every time you open the container. Simpliest way would be to send them crystals and directions with how to mx it themselves or sending in an air tight dark container

I would send it to them dry and unmixed as well.
My personal experience is that air oxidizes worse than light so putting the mix into a syringe is preferable to a dark container. |
