I am a hair "Shine" junkie! I am always looking for a better shine serum, shine treatment or glossing spray. I have tried lots of products; some are fair, some are good, and some are very good but I have yet to find one that is great!

I have tried, Redken Vinyl Glam 02 shine spray, Ojon treatments for adding shine, Biosilk serum, Clairol's Shine Happy clear shine treatment, Fekkai Glossing cream, Dove's leave-in Luminizing Mist, and a few others.

What have you tried and what is the best product for high shine?

I love shine too but with fine hair sometimes to get body I can't get shine....I would like to know a product that would deliver both.

My all time favorite is the Fekkai Sheer Shine Mist. It smells heavenly to me. It's not a floral smell but rather ?citrus-ey? that all the products in the glossing line have. It's much easier to get an even application than the fekkai glossing cream. I often get 'greasy' spots with serums and creams.

Toby,
This is my problem too! The spray on shine products often leave my hair limp! I'd love to find a good one as I think shiny hair is so beautiful.

I like to use an aersol shine product for a finer mist. I got one from the salon from TIGI called Head rush (I think). The one from Sallys Beyond the Zone is very similar and a lot cheaper. I would be careful with shine products if you have very fine hair.

Can anyone suggest a clear shine gloss for hair? I have highlighted blonde hair. Hair texture is wavy and a lot of hair.

The salon used RedKen Shades EQ, but any suggestions on something from Sally or the drug store would be appreciated.

I love a product called Surface Baby hydrating oil. It is fairly new line, and one of the best shine serums I have ever used!

It is lightweight and sinks right in. I like this way better than Shu Absolue Essence , which is expensive and had to get off of ebay. Very Happy

I love Matrix Biolage Shine Spray is fantastic - you only need two or three pumps and it leaves your hair nice and shiny.

I also find that rinsing your hair with cool water after conditioning helps lock some shine in your hair too.

Another tip is to add some honey to your conditioner Very Happy

My stylist gave me a sample of argan oil to try and it has been the best thing for my wavy, but fine, hair. It doesn't give my hair body, but it doesn't leave it limp and greasy either.

I rather like Giovanni Shine of the Times as a final spray after I've finished attempting to style my hideous fine dry hair. Seems to leave a fairly natural looking glossy shine...although I'm not sure the ingredients list accords with the "Pure Organic Technology" printed on the front of the bottle Confused

Ooops, above post supposed to read Surface Baba oil, not baby, lol!

Also , another product that I have read raves about is Alterna's hemp seed shine spray. Just ordered it, curious to try it. Very Happy

Alba Botanica Brilliant Shine Gloss Serum is inexpensive and a tiny bit makes blond hair shine, one bottle lasts a long time. I've tried MorrocanOil and loved the way it felt but my colorist said it ruins the look of blond highlights.

I love Remar Ceratin Liquid spray. It really protect the hair from heat and makes my hair shiny.

They also have a dedicated Gloss spray, but I like the Ceratin one.

I really like the brand because it's as natural as you can get with it still being very effective (IMO).

Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions!

LipGlossDoll - Where do you get the surface baba oil?

I think I would like to try the Surface baba oil and the Alba Botanica Brillant Shine Gloss serum recommended by Mogulicious - I will let you know how they work out for me.

Thanks again ladies.

I have fine hair that curls naturally and becomes a fright wig in humidity. I tried a smoothing serum lately that is really cheap and it added a lot of shine! It doesn't make my hair look greasy either - Got2b smooth operator. Pretty cheap too, and helps keep the fizzies down.

Mine would be the Fekkai shine mist and Kenra platinum shine spray (the spray one, I think they also make a serum I haven't tried).
