I usually don't give reviews until I'm sure of a product so I can widely recommend. This one, I've tried for 3 months, since end of January this year, to be precise. I started using it because I had a lower lid eye surgery and my doctor had to trim my lower eyelashes.
So, the first two days that I started using this serum I experienced some redness inside my eye, very mild, after those two days I had nothing and never again. I never experienced any shedding or lost of eyelashes, no side effects at all. I started noticing that my lower lashes were growing bigger than the upper ones at some point but then my upper lashes caught up with the lower ones. I apply twice a day, morning and night and sometimes I skip for on or two days because I forget
My family doctor sold it to me for a ridiculous price of $100 something plus tax, and later found out (thanks to a poster here who also gave me the name of another site) I could find it much cheaper online, around 50 dollars depending the size. I will continue using this serum for sure. The tube has lasted me all this time and don't know for how much longer. I hope EDS carries it sometime in the near futrure.

magarett,
Your lashes look wonderful, especially in the last picture. Could you tell me when the three pictures were taken? Thanks. |

Hi Skippie,
Those pics were taken this past Sunday. I forgot to mention that I have always had very small lashes but did not mind very much until my doctor trimmed the lower ones, so to me, it is a big change. |

hehe.. llina... nope, no shedding. I haven't lose one lash in this entire time. The only thing I noticed was a slight redness the first two days I first applied this serum.... but, I was also very recent from eye surgery, like a month after surgery. My doctor told me it was ok to use it post-op. After those couple of days, I never again experienced anything due to the Nutraluxelash. |

Will do, llina! and thank you! I will keep on using this stuff and see how far they grow. Indeed my lashes were small from the start but my doctor trimmed my lower lashes twice since January (double surgery) and that's when my vanity could not help it but was not allowed to use anything like Latisse or anything like that because I was fresh out from surgery.
I also hope ED sells it in the near future. |

That's the one Skippie! The only thing I notice is that my box does not say "Beauty Lash", nor on the container, everything else looks exactly the same and I checked on the Nutraluxe site and it does not have those words either. I hope it is the same thing, it's a very good price. Maybe it's a new look with those added words? mmmm.. I could phone them later to find out if it's the same thing because for that price I want two and will also ask for expiration date because I don't see any on mine.

hi skippie!
sorry i didn't see you there. i'm on anti histamines and steroids for allergies. i was in the hospital for a massive skin allegy...making googlie cross eyes at the doctor.
i know...margarett's lashes look awesome... holy long long long! and from the ingredients it looks like there's no lumigan in it, right? is the active ingredient the hexipeptide -11? oo my, i wanna pair of those too!
whatcha been up to? i've been experimenting with cellcosmet... some summer water proof mu (eyeliner, and blinc mascara)...and been dabbling in the new eds product phyto c (proheal). so far so good! oooo i feel like such an expert playing with the serum bottles... or like a mad scientist!
skippie, u gonna try the nutraluxe? i wanna try too! i have a whole fridge full of lash serums waiting as back up... ... but if you try it first, keep us all updated on this thread.
miss u skippie!
*hugs* |

Methylamido Dihydro Noralfaprostal is the prostaglandin analogue. |

Ok girls, this is the answer I got :

They are both he same product, just a different brand name.
The shelf life is 2 years.
Peter |
Now, if the shelf life is 2 years, I would think these ones have been there for a long time and this is why the cheaper price, as with drugs or other products at drugstores. I would think contacting the amazon seller would be a good idea too and asking him/her how old are the products. |

thanks lacy.
i think i was getting confused with TIA's myristoyl pentapeptide-16 and 17.
wow... all these chemicals are confusing. i wish i paid attention in chemistry. |

Thanks margarett for checking that out. I think I'm going to stick with buying it from their website.
lina,
I'm so sorry to hear about your hospital stay. I hope you're completely recovered now. I am going to try this product because I'm always looking for a cheaper alternative that works. Hugs to you, too. |

skippie,
i'm all good now... besides it was nice taking some time off and checking out docs in scrubs.
if this is a prostagladin analogue wouldn't it be cheaper to use the brimaprost? am i off base?
nevertheless, keep us all updated! summer is almost here... and i'm getting excited! |

Girls, I just want to give a little update, my camera is finished but I promise I will take a proper picture of my eyelashes with my eyes open as soon as I buy a new one, probably next week, if I'm not broke by then after all the stuff I'm buying for my dry face (is not that bad anymore actually).
Anyway, today I decided to pretty up myself and go shopping, curled my eyelashes, mascara, the works! Well, when I finished my routine I kind of did not like my lashes because they looked -to me- like they were fake. I'm not used to see them that long and with the mascara they kind of looked like they were fake lashes. Too late for me to remove all the mascara and all the stuff. So, that's a lesson to me and next time I think I'm not going to wear any more mascara or a tiny little bit only. Isn't that cool? No needing mascara? |

That's awesome, margarett. I've got the serum now, but I'm having lasik surgery this week so I'm going to wait to use it. I notice you said you curl your eyelashes. Do you get any natural curl at all with the serum? |

That's great, Skippie. Yes, please wait until your doctor ok's you to use the serum for your eyelashes.
Actually, I just curl my eyelashes because it's a habit of mine, but they don't need to be curled, they don't grow funny like I've seen with other eye serums or anything like that. I am going not to curl my eyelashes for the picture and you can see for yourself. |

margarett, do you find the serum irritating at all? when i used jan marini's original formula years ago, i grew some very nice lashes, but the formula would irritate my eyes to no end. |

Hi skincareaddicted,
At the beginning, for the first couple of days when I applied it, my eyes were red, not a lot, one more than the other, but take in mind that I was a few weeks fresh out from surgery the first time (I had two eye surgeries). Then I stopped and started again a few days later and it went away.
I do notice that when I'm not careful and put the serum too close in my eye it stings a bit, but does not last and does not leave my eye red or pink for hours nor minutes.
I have experience no redness during the day, nor dryness, irritation, nothing at all during the rest of the day. I have to be very careful with my eyes due to my surgeries.
The first surgery left my eyes droopy and I did not realize it only after a week later. It's an awful feeling to have your precious eyes looking that way an on top of that with short eye lashes at the bottom, I could not afford to add the red eye effect to make them even more horrifying to myself. |

hi margarette,
thank you for the reply. the formula sounds mild enough for me. i don't mind a bit of stinging (i am kinda of the school, no pain, no gain ), but don't like irritated redness all day.
i am glad to hear you were able to regrow nice lashes, i hope your eyes have recovered since both surgeries.
i will have to check nutraluxe out. the original jan marini allowed me to grow a new line of bottom lashes which are still there, and i would love to see them grow long and nice like yours.
thanks! |

Ok, so I have not been able to buy a proper
camera, but I took a picture with my mobile phone.
Sorry for the poor quality. I have very little mascara just for the picture to define the tips of the lashes and nothing to the lower lashes.
