I have followed the instruction to use 2 times a week. I wonder if you should use all products in 2 consecutive days, or like Monday, Thursday?
I used it during last weekend and my face was so red on the 2nd morning.
I am using La Colline on the non-Obagi days.
Sorry for the silly question. |

It's best to use the products spaced out over the week, i.e. Monday, Thursday, Saturday.
Hope this helps. |

Hi Critic,
This regimen is what I found on one of the Nuderm sites and pretty much what I follow while on Maintenance:
AM
Cleanser
Toner
Clear 2-3 times per week a.m. or p.m.
Exfoderm 2-3 times per week
Sunscreen
PM
Cleanser
Toner
Clear 2-3 times per week a.m. or p.m.
Blender/Retin A -- nightly
The only products you would use daily would be the Cleanser, Toner, sunscreen, and Blender/Retin A.
Hope this helps! |

Are you supposed to use the same amount of Tret/blender on maintenance?
After I use it for even one night, I peel for three days. Also, I have gotten small pimples and blackheads since going on maintenance and my skin has not improved, although the melasma is gone.
Also, I use Clear almost every day, and 35 spf sunscreen on top |

Hi Blueeyes,
What is your maintenance routine? If you feel like you are not "maintaining" your results, you can up the amount of times you use the products during the week.
Also, I reduced the amount of tretinoin on maintenance. I use 1/2 gram Blender and 1/2 gram retin a. I'm continuing to do this nightly because I feel like it reduces irritation and peeling. |

Hi RussianSunshine,
I'm in the middle of doing Round 2, so I'm just using Nuderm products right now. But, while on maintenance I did incorporate cp's. You're right, I don't use any moisturizers or oils. I only apply a little jojoba oil under my eyes (on top of retin a) in the evenings. |

You probably want to cut down on the amount of the tret/blender. You don't need that much on maintenance.
Do you have to use the Clear daily to maintain your results? |

Hi Kims and Rileygirl,
I probably don't have to use Clear every day, I'm just scared shitless that my sunspots will be back during summer.
Will cut down on the amount of tret/blender and try to use it once a week and see...
Guess you'll just have to try a bit to find the best routine.
Thanks! |

Blueeyes, this is just my opinion, but I don't think the tret/blender once a week is the best. At least for anti-aging here, I think you need to use it 3 nights a week at the minimum.
I definitely understand that fear about the spots returning, but maybe you could try the Clear 5 days a week and then after a week or so 3 days a week and see how your skin looks?
That is one of the main problems with maintenance, you really have to play around to see what will work best for you in terms of how often and how much to use the products! Good luck! |

Dear Rileygirl,
I did decrease the amount of tret/blend to about half and now it doesn't peel so much (the problem with peeling was that it looked like I was sunburned around my mouth)
The way it looks now I can probably increase to 3 nights a week, and I can even use a bit of exforderm now and then
Thanks for your help! |

I have stopped for 2 weeks, started again last night and my face was very red this morning (maybe the water was too hot).
Anyway, want to share that I used a green control base this morning to cover the redness, and it seems OK and no one notice I have a red face. |

hehehe.. sorry, I was the first one.. heheh...
I bought Make up forever in *green* in one of my shopping sprees to Sephora when my face was red like a tomato. Good stuff!
They also sell one in here in EDS, can't remember the name. Lately, I have not used it that much, no need. |
