I read several threads about skin lightening and exfoliation is the first step - my hyperpigmentation is on the face:
Face - Morning
1.Wash with Original Likas Papaya Skin Whitening Herbal Soap
2. Apply Vitamin C serum -CE Ferulic by Cosmetic skin solutions
3. Apply LA lotion - Lac-Hydrin
4. Sunblock - Devita Natural Skin Care Solar Protective Moisturizer 30?
Face - Evening
Same as above minus Vitamin C and Sunblock
I am not sure if i need more depigmentation products (like retin a) or this is good?
thanks for the help! |

Pm me and I will give you the location of a new forum with lots of the people from SCT that were interested in skin lightening. EDS doesn't really have a group focused on that. |

OP, I'm currently struggling with hyperpigmentation. I know how maddening it can be, so I wish you all the best. |

I did a regimen of skin peels over about a year, starting with lactic acid and moving up in strength slowly, then going to TCA 20%. I still have patches but much, much lighter than before. When the summer's over I'll go back on another regimen of peels and hopefully that will finish off the spots! |

Nice! Can you describe your daily regimen and products suggested? I think i will use the lotion instead of the peel but the exfoliating part and moisturizer should be similar right? |

Yes, I too am trying to lighten. I think retin A can be added to the regime---to increase the process of exfoliation. (That is what I am doing anyways). I have the likas papaya soap---however, so far it hasn't done anything for me. So, it is your choice if you want to keep that in your regime. Currently I am trying Vitamin C, Vit. B3, and retin A. Not all the at the same time--obviously =) |
