What do you use? Why? Where did you buy it?
Thanks.

Without a doubt a Vitamix. Got mine at Costco, but you can order directly from Vitamix if you prefer. It will pulverize a concrete block, just kidding, but it is the ultimate smoothie maker and a lot more.

I am a vitamix gal too, I have the old metal one (you can still buy from eBay or Amazon) and the newer plastic one. They really will pulverize just about anything and last for ages. Smile

On the other hand, I have a cheap, basic Black and Decker blender that cost me ~$40 CAD. The one I have is 2-3 years old, with a glass container/pitcher and I've used it regularly for my fruit smoothies.
I only started with Green smoothies about 10 days ago, and so far it has worked great. I have no idea if green smoothies will shorten its life span (like kill the motor or something), but for now - my $40 blender is working really well.

ETA: Just checked my blender and the type is - Black & Decker Crush Master

The blenders that I know are good and have tried are Blentec, Vitamix, L equip 228. I also have been interested in seeing how the new healthmaster rates. The healthmaster is sold a couple of places and QVC is one of them.

I have and love Vitamix, had been used almost daily for the past 6+ years.

My mom has Blendtec and is also very happy with it.
