I have a few questions about Retin A. About a year ago my doctor prescribed me Retin A micro .04% for my acne, i don't really use it because my skin is quite sensitive and it causes major skin dryness and peeling and I look like a freak when I go to work like this ( i know that the dryness is a side effect) Now that I have turned 25, I want to start using Retin A again to fight the signs of aging. I'd like to know the difference between Retin A gel and cream. What is the difference between Retin A micro and retin-A? Which ones are the best to use for acne? Which is the best to use for fine lines? I've also heard you can use this on cellulite and stretch marks as well...

For acne, your best bet is to stick with the micro or the gel. The cream is geared more for skin that is dry (or normal). I don't like the gel version, it balls up and doesn't rub in well at all. The micro version is really good, and is time released so sensitive skin should be able to use that one, especially at the lowest dose of the 0.04%. All formulas will work for fine lines/wrinkles over time.

Retin-a cream does contain pore clogging ingredients.
