I've tried fillers under my eyes with nice results but it DOES get costly. I want to look into something that's just as effective.
I am also ordering the Easy-Eye Solutions, Instant Eye-Tuck & Dark Circles Treatment as well as the Illuminating Eye Care b/c I read some GREAT things about these products.

I just want to do something for my eye bags!!!
In a prev post I read someone had success with series of acid peels and ultrasound treatments at a local salon.

Has anyone had acid peels under eyes AND ultrasound treatments before?? How much did a series cost??

Thanks

tasha92337 , the best remedy for eye bags is drinking water with lemon early in the morning before anything else. Somebody on EDS recommended it long time ago and I do it now every day.

Sycamore, I don't know if ACV has the same effect, I never liked the taste.

I allow myself to quote what avalange said about lifestyle changes:

avalange wrote:
I'll say it again but I've said it many times... Lifestyle changes work MUCH better than products in this department.

1. DON'T drink water or any liquid for at least 2 hours before bed
2. Try to elevate your head while sleeping
3. Drink AT LEAST one liter of water when you wake up (not too fast, maybe over a 10 minute period)
4. Do cardio.
Your face retains water if it doesn't get enough, and at the right times!

These things WILL make your bags diminish somewhat, at least if you are younger than 50. They ARE hereditary (I'm in a long line of undereye bag women) but you CAN prevent them from getting worse by doing the above. I had bags under my eyes my entire life until I stopped drinking water before bedtime.

I don't think any cream will get rid of bags, I would try gels instead of creams as creams are heavier and will draw more water retention there, that's what a p.s. told me once.

I don't know about gadgets, I never tried those.

The only thing that got rid of my bags was surgery. I regret it for some time because I had other complications and the recovery is lengthy.

I would try the no water thing recommended above (I will do it myself for my chin/neck) and the Tanaka massage. There is a link in this forum. I have not been doing it faithfully but the little pouch under my neck disappears and lasts for some days after I do the massage a couple of days in a row. I don't have bags anymore due to surgery so I don't know how effective is in that area but if it works for my chin/neck it will sure work for other areas on my face.

Were you thinking of a 35% TCA for your undereye area? I don't think this will help with eye bags. That's extremely strong TCA and the undereye skin is thin - you might just end up with a bigger undereye issue.

I've done TCA peels of 12.5 and 15% (but not under the eye); most peel companies recommend avoiding the undereye area. I've heard of a few people trying it, but with the lower levels of TCA (8%, 12.5%).

TCA seems to help mostly with pigmentation issues and slightly with fine lines.

Easy-Eye does help the bags. Alsowww.gardenofwisdom.com has a couple of good eye products for bags and discoloration - look at the Eye Majik creams.

RussianSunshine,
Thanks a lot. I never drink befote bedtime, because I try to avoid going to the bathroom till morning, but I never drink in the morning either (only coffee, that is a diuretic). I will try drinking in the morning.
This morning I had the lemon drink, I will see, if it works.

Hi tasha92337, I just finish reading that there are up to six explanations for dark circles under the eye, they range from genetic, thin skin under the eye area, to bone structure which produces a shadow from your brow bone to darken the area under your eye.

Dark circles can also show up due to poor circulation, leading to venous congestion of the veins under the eye. Hence, RussianSunshine post about drinking water can help.

If the skin under the eye is translucent. ie, thin, hylauronic fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm are the best. If it's pigmentation, then topical creams containing hydroquinone will help. I did read laser treatment is an option but because of the area you are treating between four to eight treatments are required before you see any improvement!! It's depressing because there is no quick fix except with concealer.

I guess fillers are the ONLY option nonsurgical.

Well if i where to do series of ultrasound (radio frequency) around the eyes ....would the filler dissolve faster?

I know a VERY experienced doctor that keeps the fillers under eyes for a YEAR .

What does the lemon do?

I put lemon in my water most of the time and have not noticed anything..
tastes good though.

I hate "plain" water...almost always have slice of lemon, lime or orange or frozen fruit

Lemon water has lots of benefits, one of them is the relief of bloating symptoms.
