I've been using an aha lotion that contain 10% aha twice daily for six months. It is the only product that has cleared my acne and prevented it coming back. I would like to add a retinol product in my regime as I have a few shallow scars ( these scars can only be seen in harsh lighting, but it still bothers me nonetheless) from past acne that I would like to smooth out. I've heard great things about retinol and its effectiveness in remodeling the skin. I don't want to give up the aha lotion because I love what it has done for my skin. A user from another forum suggested a product that combines the best of both ingredients, Diacneal.
So my question is do I omit the aha from my regime and use diacneal instead as my night time treatment? And would it be okay to apply a moisturizer on top after a few hours? I don't want to reduce its efficacy. But I don't think my skin can tolerate it by itself
Here is my current regime:
Morning:
Dove Soap (cleansing)
Aha lotion
Sunscreen
Evening:
Dove Soap
Aha lotion
Moisturizer
Note: For some reason I've created two threads of similar content. My connection lagged so I ended up double clicking the submit button in hopes of making it go faster. Stupid move on my part. >_< |
