i am considering going through with a breast augmentation. i have small breasts and would love a fuller, more womenly shape. there is a doctor a few hours from wh ere i live who seems great and uses local anesthesia. i was wondering if anyone could tell me if they ahve had experience with local anesthesia and how they liked it? also tips on breast augmentation in general. thank you so much!

Who says you don't have a womanly shape now?

Why does "womanly" = fake?

(I'm assuming you're not a man...)

I miss the A/B cup days of my teens and 20's. Breasts grow bigger as you age. I am now in my late 30's and have C/D cups with no augmentation.

My mom had implants and as she aged they seemed to race towards the inevitable droop (that we all must eventually deal with) much faster than my natural set.

Mom was also very very very ill for the rest of her life after getting them - her body didnt like them but it was much later in time that we made the connection. No they weren't silicone. They were saline.

After seeing what happened to my mother I wouldn't put foreign objects into my body if someone paid me to do it. Sure most women don't have problems like my mom had...but how do you know whether you will be in the majority or minority?

There are so many cute clothes I cant wear any more because I grew larger breasts. I just look fat.

Also, my girlfriends who had smaller breasts don't seem to have much sag as they age.

I understand it, Smokin. Flat chested women want them big. But before you decide, it may be interesting to read some explantation stories as well: http://www.explantation.com/
Reading them made me decide not to have them blown up. I am on natural breast enlargement right now, and they have become definitely bigger.

It is very easy, I massage them twice every day, and I eat chicken feet soup:). I know it sounds crazy, but it has lots of collagen, and helps breast fullness. I started with consuming fenugreek seeds, but I somehow did not like them. I gained fullness, but not an entire cup size. Even my son noticed, that they have grown. I also eat some soy products, but not much and take EPO. I am already 44, so I guess younger women see even more growth. I have been doing it for 2 months, and I am very satisfied. And did not gain weight! Also, my mood is much better, my period is less stressfull and sleep much better. I guess I used to be estrogen dominant, and the massage and the soy helped to balance my hormones.
BTW my sex drive is lower:)

I agree with Earthy. I spent the majority of my life as a B cup but as I aged I am now a C/D cup--and no I didn't put on weight. I hate it! There are so many things that I can no longer wear because of showing too much cleavage. What used to look cute now looks cheap and trashy. Everyone is different and the decision is, of course, up to you but if you do decide to enlarge consider your body frame and go with something that looks natural for someone your size and don't forget you will have scars. Bigger is not always more beautiful.

Thanks for your answer Sycamore. I never tried chicken feet soup. Is it good? Do you eat the feet? I am a bit scared that I don´t like it.

I have never heard of getting a BA under only local anesthesia. I would be weary of any dr offering that.

You should definitely spends lots of researching your options (type of implant, where and how you want it placed) and also have more then 1 consultation. Once you choose a dr check out his license.

Lisocas,
EPO is Evening Primrose Oil. It is sold in capsules, and also in oil form, but tastes disgusting:).
Chicken feet soup tastes mostly like a normal broth. I do not eat the feet.

Well, I am on Smokin's side of the fence. I am 35 and have yet to see an increase in the size of my breasts. It just doesn't happen for some of us. I barely fill out an A cup. If I wear a sports bra I basically look as flat as a boy. I had a heck of a time finding a dress to wear to a wedding last year. I found so many pretty strapless dresses but I had nothing to hold them up, it was very depressing. Same goes for many tops - they just don't hang right when they have nothing to hang on to!
I say do your research and find a good doctor and do what makes you happy

Oh well I am on the same spot - but I learned to be happy with what I have :
1 - All the men in my life liked the whole package - and one told me once that men usually are more appreciative for nipples, form and fullness rather than size . An other comment was " what is more than a mouthfull is a waste -lol
2 - I am 46 and my breast is small and up and no sagging here Smile
3- I am a big beliver in exercising and during the years I just developed strong chest muscles and that makes a very appeling cleavage .A push up makes it looking wow Wink

I am recentlly doing some research in natural ways to increase the breasts and there are ladies out there than can swear on this methods ( supliments , oils and exercise ) . According to them you can increase the breast one size... So for now I am doing my home work and probablly in a couple of weeks I'll have a program in place Smile. That will be fun and a great experiment . according to my readings it can take around 3 months to get it done .

If I'll do it I'll keep everyone posted Smile...

Anyway I wouldn't jump in any surgery - I would say work your body hard get the muscle definition and that is sexier ( for most of men) than any D cup Smile

I had the original silicone BI, wish wish wish I had never done it.

After MANY open and closed capsulotomies (where they break up the hard capsule that formed around them) I finally had them removed.

I still need correction surgery. I too was very flat and although weigh a little more now, I second that you do get bigger with age.

This is something that cannot be undone, just like piercing your face, its going to stay with you one way or another. Some ways worse than others.

I look at young women now with small breasts and think "how lovely."

I also got Chronic Fatigue Syndrome although the implants weren't the only reason I had many stressors on my body.

Being healthy and in good physical shape is the very best way to express outward beauty.

I started with a 32 C on my then tiny 5-2 1/2 tall 93 lb. frame was not too small and I still recall (thanks to society's pressure) wishing for larger breasts! Rolling Eyes Well all 4 kids added at least a cup size after I stopped nursing and now at 56 the cup size I wear is absolutely absurd! I will finally embarrass myself and oh lord here goes I wear a 36 J, and pushing out of those now so next stop is a K cup. Age has added pretty much yearly. The joys of them growing and growing-- forget buying a dress that fits your top without looking horrid on the bottom so it's separates all the way. Bras have to be ordered and are a fortune. They get in the way I know that sound odd but reaching across your self gets amusing at this point. Last place I worked people were trying to figure out if they were real (I wasn't aware) one day a girl working with me came and asked sooo I said "The hair is dyed, the nails are fake, but that's all me, so go ahead and let everyone know and you can all believe what you want!?! Anyway I have an older friend who had 3 kids never got larger A cup at best and is happy as a pig in $h!t, she can go bra less all day and I envy her that. Be careful what you wish for, I believe it's a very personal choice but I do think of the younger woman that decide to go for implants and what a nightmare it may be if they land on the side that I have where shock kids, age decide to add major size to what you start with? Ok I officially am a blushing fool now telling my story! Rolling Eyes Shock Rolling Eyes Shock

I do not believe for one moment that you can have breast implants with only a local anesthetic. Have you ever watched the procedure on those plastic surgery TV shows - it's major surgery.

When I was young I had no breasts at all, I basically had dents! This caused me so much angst, it effected my whole personality and confidence. I used to lie in bed at night praying for breasts.

When I became pregnant, I was convinced I would never be able to breast feed - but as it turned out I was an absolute "milking cow". I fed both my girls for nearly two years each. But when I had these two big "udders", I hated them and couldn't wait for them to go back to normal.

For my age, I'm still very flat chested - but I see women the same age as me that have huge sagging breasts and it looks very aging. Fake breasts also look terrible when they're obvious (which allot of them do). Because breasts are just mounds of fat - girls who are flat chested usually have bony frames. There's nothing worse than two mounds sticking out of a bony chest - think Victoria Beckham!

Still, I would have killed for them when I was young!

What is funny is I don't have upper back or shoulder pain at all just the lower back from these huge babies I carried inside all those months.
But if I knew then what I know now I wouldn't wish for these mountains on a very small boned frame! Laughing

the worst is when the implants are those "very high" ones where they start way above before a normal breast should. It is the most fake look of all -
Normal, small breasts are becoming more appreciated once again. Thank Goodness I was a gymnast for years and lean, tight and had breasts but they were "subdued". After children they grew to a nice proportion but I've never wished for humongous. I can't imagine dealing with what Dark Mn has had to. Poor girl. I don't even know what a J size is.... Wow. I bet there are some men who drool though.... Laughing

What is EPO?

thanks xxx

The only thing I know of EPO? if it is the right thing is that it is a prescription product called Erithropoetin
and that is is use to regulate hormones and increase the hemoglobin in people who are deficient

Some athletes also use it to gain endurance.
It is a prescription product that has to be injected,so not sure how people here are getting that?

I actually had to use EPO before for some hemoglobin issues,.
did not notice any increase in the chest area at all (but then again for someone thin I am quite chesty and it is annoying to find shirts).

Also, if you use EPO you can be banned from some levels of sports competition.

Ottawa Shopper,

The EPO you are referring to is Evening Primrose Oil? That's a non prescription herbal that you can buy gel caps and the oil straight. Smile
