I'm 42 and since reaching 40 my skin as changed. I'm looking for something to tighten. Surgery is not an option, only because I can't afford it! the "puppet line/folds" from the mouth to neck and my jawline is really bugging me, It's making me feel depressed to be truthful. I just need to know if there is anything that can give visible improvement? Thanks for any suggestions. |

dksnf68 - Sounds that your primary concern is sagging of the lower face. Facial exercises really work. My preference is resistance facial exercises. You will see facial muscles toning, and as a result sagging disappearing. Just be patient and stick to them. Various massages can be included as a part of facial exercises routine.
You also might want to look into micro current devices for facial muscle stimulation such as Tua Viso. They are the second best after facial exercises, and can compliment each other.
For skin itself radio frequency treatments help. Spas usually offer some sort of RF treatments. There are also at home units such as STOP. They get mixed reviews. I had good experience with it.
There is a variety of other things that help in refining appearance. Listed above are the ones that I feel produce the most result for sagging and tightening. |

Mpstat,
Do you really recommend the Tua Viso? Any particular model?
I have had significant improvement with the Safetox on my MLs, but still have some jowl sagging I need to deal with. |

I'll be 40 in October and my problems began when I was 38. I've been using the Tua Viso since February, like it but would rather have the Tua Trend. I really recommend it, for me at least it has gotten me out of the saggy mid face thing pretty quickly.

Using a topical collagen builder like copper peptides or Retin-a is probably also a good idea.
I'm using the Pretika Light Sonic, an LED device. It was only $40. There are many probably better ones that are more $$ like Anti Aging Light Stim, Baby Quasar, etc.
As for the Glamoxy Snake Serum not sure about the syn-ake products, haven't used them myself. There are others to check out in the same or lower price range, but I wouldn't rely on it alone to get rid of sag.

1,000 mg of vitamin C and MSM can also help. MSM can cause insomnia if taken later in the day. I took it one day this week and got nausea.
A good sunscreen is imperative as well as some sun avoidance whenever possible. I just bought Bioderma Photomax spf 50, super high UVA blocking sunscreen.

Marie Veronique sunscreen I have been reading about lately and contains a lot of zinc:

I've done the Perricone diet for years though more loosely the last summer or so. Having some salmon can help your skin to look instantly more toned. |

Here's a second for facial exercise to lift the lower face upward. Faithful, consistant exercise will help lift your face upward and give a glow to your skin. it can also tone your face - and it is a wonderful idea to include with the tanaka massage. |

dksnf68 - I feel your pain - I'm also 42 and lately my face and skin have really changed for the worst! I have very deep laugh lines, large pores and gauntness in my cheeks. And now I have noticed that my pores are clogged - not only on my nose but also my cheeks! I eat right, drink water, exercise, take care of my skin and use Retin-A faithfully - but clearly, I need to do something more. I have dabbled in facial exercise but was discouraged by lack of results. (To be fair, I wasn't following a program.) I no longer feel attractive and need to do something FAST! |
