| Is this supposed to be a regular self-tanner instead of a gradual one like the Glow version is? I bought a tube of the Glow based on positive reviews on MUA but haven't tried it yet. I am a self-tanner junkie so please let us know what you think about this new Hawaiian Tropic self-tanner when you try it out. |

It's a regular self tanner instead of the gradual one. I did an application over the weekend. Excellent results on my arms and legs. Color seems very natural. Application was very easy as it is more like a quick absorbing gel than a lotion. I would almost say that it added a bit of "glow" to my skin. I had no problems with my feet, ankles, knees, wrists or hands, but that was not the case with my elbows. For some reason, it really took to my pointy elbows even with all the attempts to prevent it. I'm not really blaming the product though as much as my own elbows. I'll just have to really avoid them from now on and realize that I can't use my normal methods. (Normally, I exfoliate in the bath or shower and dry thoroughly. Then I apply regular lotion on the above mentioned locations (feet knees, wrists, elbows, etc.). Then I apply the tanning lotion in circular motions. Then I apply more regular lotion to the areas and blend outwards. I will then wipe at the area to remove any additional remaining suntan lotion. This normally works fine - and it did this time as well in every area except for my elbows.
I applied on Saturday and I can tell I still have color left today. I will repeat this process again either tonight or tomorrow night and will completly avoid the elbows this time. |

I applied again last night and I am pleased today. I did better around my elbows and used a more direct effort there with lots of regular lotion, wiping off, more regular lotion, blending, wiping off, etc.
I do have a spot on each of the side of my palms though, down near my wrist. Same spot on each hand. I was baffled for a bit as to how I did it, but then I remembered what I did after I applied my tanning lotion. I sat on my bed in my undies and read. Yep, I was resting that spot on each leg to prop up my book. I guess I had a bit of a transfer effect from the lotion on my thighs. Oh well, it's not noticible unless you know what you are looking for. |

Don't quote me on this, but I believe hyperlinks are fine on this forum. I think you have to have at least 10 posts though to post a link. |
