I have had some dark patches on my cheeks and above my lip for a little over a year and have been using Retin-A and some Obagi products. I've been reading about how bad hydroquinone is for your skin and I do think that my spots have almost become worse since using it.

Anyway, I've been reading about Lumixyl and was wondering if anyone had tried it or if there are any other good products out there I could try. I've done so much searching and I'm just not sure what to try next.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!!

I have not really been impressed with Lumixyl unfortunately, but I am pretty sure that my melasma is dermal level (which is worse than epidermal level) and is harder to treat.

I am going back to the ONLY product that has worked for me, which is Vivite Vibrance...I saw significant lightening in 2 months, and only stopped using it because it made my fair skin red. But I am just going to use it less frequently and see if that helps with the redness.

FYI...I bought the Vivite Vibrance on ebay as it is cheaper than most places online.

I am sorry to hear the Lumixyl wasn't the one to do it. Good luck with the Vivite!
