It's Sat morning and I was watching an infomercial. Timeless Secret is the name of the anti-aging skincare products promising to lift and firm my skin in just 14 days. It's choc full of actives all in one bottle. I was getting excited, and as they dropped the price from $40 to $30 and threw in 2 bonus items (cleanser and mask), I thought, "ok, I'll try."
It offers 30-day money back guarantee. I thought I couldn't lose on this even if it doesn't work.
This is why I am sitting in front of the computer. I typed in Timeless Secret in the search box to try to order on the net instead of calling. (I hate talking on the phone!) Then I got search results that include review of the product. Hmmm....one review was not so good. She said it was a waste of $ and time. Also, you have to be careful since you'll be signed up for a membership delivery program.
That gave me pause, so I think I'll pass. Anyone tried? |

I would say any product that claims amazing results in 14 days is lying.
If they provided an actual ingredient list for each product it might be easier to evaluate but I'd say save your $ and invest in products with proven research (retin-a, vit c, SS). |

Alarm bells ring when I hear of any product promising results in 14 days (it's really not possible unless those results are purely cosmetic - like silicones temporarily tightening skin).
A second set of alarm bells ring (and even louder) when I hear of these auto-ship enrolments. There are countless complaints logged with the Better Business Bureau and other review sites from people trying to get out of them.
I agree with GirlieGirl, stick with the proven ingredients and products. |

I totally agree with both GirlieGirl and Josh. Save your money and stick with the ingredients that work. |

That makes it four of us that agree! |

Without an ingredient list you truly have no idea of what you are getting and even then you might be paying for water with a drop of a few good things. I can't say as any infomercial product (I know of anyway) has had continual rave reviews that have withstood the test of time.
If you want to save money check out the DIY sites an alldaychemist.com for retin A.
...and don't get me started on that auto-ship scam stuff. How many people got sucked in on that with acai berry supplements? They snag you when you're not lookin!. |

For me anyways the line that is on TV-not really infomercial but on the shopping channel is Serious Skincare.
they have been around at least 15 years and some of their products are quite good, some just average.
I think maybe if you want to do one of those 30 day trials, maybe try and get a prepaid credit card you can use online and get that, that way you can not reload those cards and they can not charge you
I have not tried this but some people on an online shopping forum were discussing this.
I also think most companies that have good products are willing to send samples free or for a low cost. |

You all are absolutely right. Why was I even tempted to order? I hate the autoship program. I once ordered something that had a free trial and autoship program but I used my prepaid visa to put the charge on. After I cancelled and returned the product, they had the nerve to call me and ask me to give them a new CC number since the prepaid visa did not have enough on it for them to charge me for the next autoshipment. I called them and told them I already cancelled, and they acknowledged, but a month later I got another phone call for a new CC number again. I gave up trying to tell them that I already cancelled. What a nightmare! |

Natalyn,
I have been there once with the autoship mess and you are so right it's a nightmare to cancel!
I think they get you with it looks just too good to pass up. If it sounds too good to be true it is 99.9999% sure it is! We all get sucked in at least once in this life! At least you didn't give in to the temptation this time! |

I can't believe they actually called you!
That is too funny.
I guess in a way you beat them at their own game.
I actually like some of the items from the shopping channel.
but it is not autoshp stuff.
they used to have really good craft kits in Canada at least.
I remember buying a glass paint kit for $50 a few years ago and it had tons of paints!
if you go to the art store those paints are usuall quite pricey.
Guess since you canceled twice at that too they are not supposed to charge you.
hopefully they have stopped calling by now.
for me the worst was when Beauyfix they charged my card $50 for what was supposed to be a $25 bill.
I evenprinted out my online receipt as i do not entirely trust them.
I ended up canceling after that-even though I di dlike sme of the products in their kits. |

i'm always paranoid about autoship program, but i got lucky with a couple of companies that did cancel the program after i called them. These are Gevalia and Boca Java.
I think i'll try to be more careful with no-name skincare companies. |
