Hey all,
18 days ago, I bit the bullet and had some juvederm injected in some sleep creases that had been bothering me for a while. The doctor ended up using it on the side of each eye bag which resulted in some bruising that has since subsided.
However, my right eye bag has a swollen area on the side that isn't going away and I'm not sure what to do about it. It's created a new crease in my under-eye area. This is getting me down and I don't know if I should wait it out or get something done about it.
Has anyone had a similar experience. Will the swelling (or too much juvederm, or whatever it was) go away over time? Will it cause any lasting damage to this area?
I didn't even ask to have it injected near my eyes!
Thanks in advance |

I'm pretty sure they can dissolve Juvederm with another injectable solution if you remain unhappy.
So you are not stuck with a dissatisfactory result. Be assertive and call the doctor's office and insist he/she make it right..and get your money back.
I've had filler done many times and really loved the results. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. |

My doc told me that how I see myself in the office right after the juvederm injection is pretty much what I get (before the swelling happens, of course). 18 days is a long time, so I don't think that's swelling. I agree, call your doc.
BTW, did anyone experience the bluish tyndal (sp?) effect? I did in one side but not the other. Is it the doc's application technique? I've had it for over a year (yes, the juve has lasted me this long! exciting!) |

I had Tyndall after Perlane injections in my Marionette lines. The doctor dissolved it as I though the blue-ish mark defeated the purpose somewhat. The doctor wants to try again with Juverderm as this filler is a bit softer than Perlane. I'm not convinced anymore though. |
