Hi
I am looking for something that can help reduce eye bags. I dont think mine are all fat depostis as they can somedays look slightly better. However they aare there all the time. It is definately an aging thing going on but like i say somedays worse than others. My eyes are very crepey under them too
I do drink plenty of water (with a bit lof lemon in) during the day and exercise
Are there any things in the following i could try:-
Massage
eye creams for bags and crepiness to firm up
non surgical treatments like thermage
I appreciate any advice given
many thanks

The most important thing you have to start doing is get rid of puffiness. If your eyes are continually puffy, then the skin will gradually stretch to the size of the puffiness and permanent bags will result with the fatty deposits.
In many cases, puffiness is caused by either an eye product or a face product that is creeping into the eye area. So long as you know that the puffiness is not a medical condition or just results occasionally through lack of sleep etc, then you need to take a close look at what products you are using on your face near or in the eye area.
Everyone is different so what works for some may not work for you but that can also be the reverse.
The way to start is to judge when and how much the puffiness is occurring and if it is being exacerbated by products. For a few of days, try just washing your face with a mild cleanser and don't apply anything else (including makeup) and see if the puffiness abates.
It will then be a case of trial and error to see which products may contribute to the puffiness. You probably need to try products for at least 7 days to see results because I know from personal experience that new products can sometimes cause puffiness initially but it goes away after a few days when the eye area has adapted to the new ingredients.
You can always consider just using one product for both face and eyes as there are a few good ones which can be used in the eye area. Stemulation is one example.
Good luck. |

it seems no products are very useful for the eye bag, but can improve it, i used isomers 3000 for eyes which also is useful for the eye bag, dark circles, fine lines. But if you have very serious eye bag because of age, i sugguest please do a laser which you can enquiry from a doctor. |

I developed my eye bags in my early 20s-lack of sleep, genetics, or both. Yes, sometimes they looked better than others but I didn't want to have to deal with them on my off days. The honest truth is that if you have $2500 or so to spare, just get the surgery. I've tried creams but they don't work that well |

search for the easy eye solutions thread. It didnt work for me, but I suppose I have more tired eyes than baggy eyes...seems to have worked for a lot of other people though.. |

One thing that I did forget to add previously is to be wary of eye products that treat wrinkles around the eye by using fillers. Many eye products contain ingredients which are described as "plumping" the skin which may be ok for filling in wrinkles but is the worst thing for bags as it just exacerbates them. Also stay away from products described as being very moisturising as these will just sit on the skin, accumulate and add to the baggage. A face or eye product that is light and sinks in very quickly is likely to be ok. |

I find the Benefiance eye cream from Shiseido and their Future Solution eye cream very good. I haven't tried the new Future Solution LX one yet. They moisturize, firm and soothe and do not cause any puffiness. I recently tried the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair eye serum, a couple of sample tubes, and the Clinique Repairwear Intense eye cream and am experiencing some puffiness which I didn't have before. I much prefer the Shiseido. Their Nutri Perfect eye serum was great but may be discontinued.
I think Bushy's point is good about face products migrating into the eye area and to avoid plumping type products around the eyes. I am going to monitor this and see if the puffiness goes down if I keep my face products completely out of the eye area.
Avoiding salty foods and sleeping with my head elevated really helps with not getting extra fluid in the eye area. Just some thoughts. |
