Anyone have this? How do you get rid of this. It hurts. Going to an ENT this week. |

How do you know a salivary gland is blocked? I've never heard of this.
Try dry skin brushing your face/neck.
When I dry brush near the temples and behind the ears, frequently I feel a liquid going down my throat. |

Leave it to the ENT. Can be an easy process to unblock. Hope so. |

Hi Sherry,
Last year I had swollen salivary gland. I've never had that before and it happened all of a sudden. I was about to eat dinner then i tasted the food and it was like a just bit into a lemon. My salivary gland acted up and made my face look swollen. I went to see the doctor but the doctor said that it was a symptom of a "cold". I didn't feel sick at the time and i felt like i didn't get enough answers as to why my salivary gland acted like this when it has never happened before. It cleared up within a few days, but during that time it was painful eating or drinking anything.
Just a few days ago i felt something similar...i was about to taste food when i got a surge of 'tangy, sourness in my mouth..my salivary gland acted up again but only lasted a couple hours |

Thanks for the replies. It is still swollen and my neck and chest hurt now too. I have massaged the area. Nothing. I will see the EMT tomorrow. This has never happened before. I went to the internist first. That is how I know what it is. She said that if it doesn't clear up in a few days to see an EMT. I just don't want it to get infected or anything worse. |

I have had this before. It was quite a few years ago now. My face, mostly jawline and side of neck swelled up. I was actually told to bite on a lemon as this can clear it? It didn't work for me. I was on antibiotics for a while but it didn't work either. Went to a ENT specialist too, he cleared it with a very tiny cannuala thing? It didn't hurt,it was just uncomfortable, only took a few minutes
That cleared it up and I haven't had any trouble since.
best of luck with yours.x |
