The EGF is listed as one of more than 150 growth factors in the medium used in the product. Without a complete listing from Osmosis/Dr. Johnson we don't know what is in this product. As far as what it should be called, your thoughts are as good as mine? Quite possibly better! |

Or does the media stimulate our own stem cells to multiply? (if that's the correct term). Would this mean that the product would be less effective for someone elderly whose stem cells were half dead (me!) |
Your humor is among the many reasons I love visiting EDS.
Regarding elderly, if that's the case it won't work for me as I am as old as dirt. |

From what I have read, most companies selling skin care containing stem cells or growth factors are basically the same thing. None of the products contain human stem cells. It would seem that it is possible to extricate a "marker" from a stem cell and incorporate it into skin care. This "marker" (sometimes also called a receptor") is also referred to as a growth hormone. The "markers" are supposed to be able to somehow encourage our own stem cells to repair and rejuvenate skin. Many lines are base on plant derived stem cell markers and I am not sure how many lines are based on human stem cell markers.
Here is a link to International Stem Cell Corporation with info on stem cells and they are also launching a skincare line which is based on human stem cell markers.

I would be interested to know how exactly Osmosis have produced their Stem Factor product. |

I haven't found where Osmosis claims to use Human Stem Cells to obtain the growth factors or not, but this product does appear to.

Does Osmosis have a full ingredient list for their products? I couldn't find one on their website.
Not to be a downer or anything but that's one of my biggest pet peeves when companies have a full ingredient list. I want to know exactly what I'm putting on my face! |

I haven't seen one for the new stem cell serum so far. I join you in that pet peeve, it really gets my goat and I just will not buy unless there is full disclosure. |

Ingredients:
Adult Stem Cell Derived Conditioned Media, Phosphatidylcholine, Harmonized Water, Hydroyethycellulose, Essential Oil Blend
The serum is very light and penetrates quickly, and for me at least, doesn't leave a sticky residue. I use this after cleansing and then wait a few minutes before applying the rest of my routine. |

tikiandbabu,
How long have you been using the serum, and is it too early to post any results?
Thanks for posting the ingredient list. |

Yes, waiting for an update. I have decided I am going to wait for some reviews before I spend the $$. I would also love for the Dr. to come back on and answers the questions being asked by all these knowledgable EDS members. |

I've been watching this thread with great interest, one of the long time trusted members over at Skincaretalk dot com says that Osmosis Enlighten is superb. So I checked on this site to see what you smart people knew and found this thread. My gripe as a user is the website doesn't give prices. It appears that you have to be a licensed professional to purchase (?) I wish it were more clear. |

You can purchase Osmosis products here:

I checked the cost of postage to Australia - $12.50, somewhat cheaper than the $100.00 that was previously being charged by Stemulation!
Re the ingredients - Lacy had already posted them a couple of pages back. However, there's no breakdown of which essential oils are being used. |

ITA there are too many people with allergies or sensitivities; they have the right to know what they are buying before they buy it. |

Both of these sites are Australian, the top one being on the Gold Coast where I live - it says the products are by a Dr. Mark Doyle.
Quote: |
Dr Doyle first became passionate about developing a skin care range while treating patient’s sun damaged, aged and problematic skin. While the epidermis (surface) of his patients skin needed treatment, often the most significant damage was below the surface of their skin. Developing a skin care treatment range that would restore and repair not only his patients skin but also improve their general well being and happiness, self esteem and confidence became Dr Doyle’s primary concern.
The result of Dr Doyle’s research is CURE -a specialist skin care treatment range designed with the Australian climate in mind - producing real results for the skin.

Where does it say they are Osmosis? Are you comparing ingredients, or have I missed something? |

From the link you posted Keliu under products many include either EGF or KGF, I don't think there is a reason to think these are Osmosis. The biggie appears to be the following.
Super Serum
This aptly named product offers complete skin rejuvenation changing the very foundation of your skin - your DNA. It’s main ingredient, Skin Repair Growth Factor (SRGF-7), appears to actively reduce scar tissue buildup, stimulates collagen, improves strength & elasticity of collagen structures, regulates pigment production & repairs facial capillaries. Contains: Purified Water, L-ascorbic Acid, Ethyl Alcohol, L-proline, L-glycine, L-lysine, Copper, Bioflavonoids, Zinc Gluconate, Silicon, Glycerin.

You are probably being mislead by the names of these products but they are definitely Osmosis.
Examples are the Cure Amend Eye Light is the same as Osmosis Refresh Am and Elixxir Eye Formula Am
Osmosis Refresh Pm is the same as Cure Amend Eye and Elixir Eye Formula Pm
Osmosis Clear is the same as Cure Amend Healing Spray and Elixxir Aqua de Vita
I could go on but it is just a matter of comparing the descriptions to see that Elixxir and Cure are really Osmosis with fancy names and prices. |

If that is the case where does Dr. Doyle come into the equation? He's claiming that he developed these products. This definitely deserves more investigation - but maybe Dr. Johnson "franchised" the recipes (for want of a better word) - or these recipes are simply sold to different companies by the developing lab. I don't know - seems very strange to me. |

Not to me, They seem to be different than the new serum by Osmosis. I only posted the ingredients on the Super Serum as that's what we have the ingredient list here for comparison with Osmosis StemFactor. |
