Have you tried Easy Eye Solutions?
Drinking lots of water first thing in the morning helps a lot. |

Hi tasha,
I have bad eye bags, I'm going to go for a consultation for surgery as I think its the only thing thats going to help me and because I've found it so upsetting.
Lots of people on here, have had success with easy eye solutions, unfortunately it didn't work for me, but its worth a try.
One little tip someone posted on here was to limit fluid intake at night and drink more in the morning, I actually think this does help a bit. |

Puffy eyes is usually a sign of lymph fluid build up under the eyes. You can do massage (e.g., see the Tanaka massage on EDS) and/or exercises to help drain the fluid. But the real solution is to try to eliminate the cause of the fluid build up. Usually, that means one or more health factors are causing your lymph fluid to accumulate under your eyes. So try to get more sleep, drink more water, exercise more, or otherwise work on whatever are your weakest links. Honestly, eating a really clean diet will help a lot...but eating a really clean diet means more like eating mostly fruit, vegetables, etc. and preferably raw. I stopped getting lymph fluid build up in my face when I went high raw eating mostly fruits and veggies...not that you have to go that far, but rather I just want to communicate that more drastic changes are usually necessary (e.g., just adding carrot juice or a few fruits and veggies is not a big enough change, but of course, with any dramatic change you want to work up to it slowly). Just my experience. HTH |

I'm not a big water drinker and when I needed to replace my soft drinks with something healthy (and low fat !!), I started making my own green tea iced tea. I buy the Tazos green tea (Zen); it is the same one that Starbucks uses to make their green tea. I sweeten it with Truvia. I also drink white tea iced tea.
I started drinking the green and white tea because i was dieting and needed to drink lots, but the benefit to my skin was really noticeable. It helped reduce the puffiness I get mid-month and during my period. My skin also looked better. They are a natural anti-oxidant, so I think that can help with anything. Just keep in mind that green and white tea contains caffeine. I was told that for the caffeine to be removed, it isn't as healthy ... but I make sure I don't drink it near bedtime.
The other natural cleanse I drink is just lemon and water. I do sweeten it with a bit of Truvia as well, but it also helps my skin and body feel better.
To be honest, while there are many things that can help depending on how bad the bags under your eyes are, surgery may be the only way to truly get rid of your bags. When I met with my surgeon about eye lift surgery, I asked him if I could do something to get rid of them. He said that with the eyes, you can only do so much because a lot of it is genetics. |

Thanks everyone!
When i went for my fillers the surgeon was VERY nice and honest. He told me that yes, I have a bit of fat under my eyes and suggest i dont go surgery because im young and he also said i have really nice dewy skin and hate to mess with it.
I dont know what to do.because i hate them!!!
badly and i want them reduced or gone
I have tried the eye solution...didnt work for me so i KNOW its a genetic thing.
lymphs? i have started recently dong massages so hopefully that will help.
i have read that someone got fillers in there CHEEKS to help reduce eye bags as an alternate to surgery...has anyone done this before? |

I can't speak to the fillers for cheeks, but just an opinion of trying something different to alleviate what is really bothering you. I find I am never happy when I do that. If I really want something, but make do with something different, I am never happy with it in the end.
If it is something that is really bothering you, than maybe it is better to have it done now. I'm not saying that you shouldn't follow your surgeon's recommendations, but I also believe in being happy with your looks. I know it can be a fine line. A close girlfriend of mine has always hated her nose. When she went for her consult, the surgeon told her that he could operate on it, but with her type of nose, there was a significant risk that her nose would turn upwards ... He showed her what it could mean - let's just say she looked like a pig!! Needless to say she didn't proceed with the operation. If your surgeon is saying that you should wait because your skin is great now, but that is the only reason ... then maybe you could still proceed. If he is saying, don't do it now because you won't be happy with the results ... that is a different thing.
Hope this makes sense !! |

tasha, I had eyelid puffiness problem for a few years. It took a long time and there are a few things that contributed to the problem. Stress from my parents, drinking too much coffee at times, allergies, and having low vitamin & iron, which I was not aware of at the time.
I even started getting dark circles and I looked stressed. I got Cellcosmet eye contour gel XT and it really calm down my puffy eyelids and it didn't hurt as much.
I hope sharing with you the problem I had and what I did will help you. |

Really?
you have never had any blood tests ever?
I'm always surprized when people say that as you could have some health issues that you could prevent in the future if you know about them now.
Not saying you have anything, but just that it is good to go to a regular doctor ever few years for a test of everything.
I fainted earlier this year and had to do a ton of blood tests for that.
they did not find anything-exept I had low sodium....
For puffy eyes which i always get in the morning I find light eye gel with caffeine or green tea in it work best.
I have Bioderma sensibio eye cream, had Vichy eye stick (really good, will rebuy when i have less eye creams),
I was also told putting cold spoons on your eyes can help with puffiness... |

Ottawa Shopper, I used to do that also, but I was annoyed and knew it was not right to have skin swelling. It was a change of lifestyle that cured my problem. I had too many toxic people in my life and even though I was not aware of it, slowly it wore me down over the years. I also think that where I used to live, the way that the air travelled, it was carrying toxins from manufacturing area 8 miles ahead and I must of been allergic to it. When I moved, my allergies almost disappeared.
I agree, blood test once in awhile is good and you can change your diet based on the test result. |
