I accidentally ended up on the New Beauty site this morning and thought this sounded fairly quick and minimally invasive:

What procedure your surgeon performs for isolated neck aging depend on three factors; Skin quality, Visibility of muscle (so called platsysma bands), and Degree of neck fat.
If one has a full, fat neck and good skin tone, liposuction may do the trick but one must not ignore the potential for fat under the platysma muscle as well. This fat cannot be suctioned and needs to be removed under direct vision through an incision under the chin. If the muscle is lax then it can be tightened through the same incision.
There is also a new procedure which is much less invasive for patients with muscle banding and good skin elasticity. It is called a Trampoline Platysmaplasty and it is performed through very small (needle size) incisions under the jaw.
For someone with slack skin, the above procedures will not completely rejuvenate the neck. Incisions are made behind the ears and excess skin is pulled, trimmed and re draped, completing the transformation.

Sorry, this related post was missed when this topic was split onto its own thread.

The Lasky Clinic is known for their natural facelifts. It supposedly is where Cher, Joan Collins, Elizabeth Taylor, Catherine Zeta-Jones and others whose names I forget have had their surgery. Frank Kamer MD was a plastic surgery pioneer who taught his techniques to other surgeons. What I'm wondering, however, isn't this trampoline surgery just another name for the Threadlift or Lifeline lift that you see advertised all over the place? The reviews on that procedure have been mixed. Anyone know? |

that looks like a big advance in minimally invasive plastic surgery. No matter how wrinkle free your face is, if your neck bands are prominent you will look very old. Sometimes the same can be accomplished with botox but I would opt for the new procedure, it will last longer and it doesnt look like there would be a lot of down time! |
