I have serious dark circle and puffy eyes. I am now using Laura Mercier Under Eye Perfecter and Secret Concealer (color 3). I am quite satisfied with LM's concealer, it's coverage is good and more importantly it's hydrating enough so won't make my under eye fine line so obvious after applying it.
I have tried Bobbi Brown's concealor before and I think that it's not hydrating enough that makes my fine line so obvious...
My LM concealor and perfecter are almost used up, so I am now looking for another great concealer. Anyone can share?? |

I have also tried Clinique's all about eye concealer which I think it's not very good.
So apart from LM, BB and Clinique, any good concealer to recommend??? Thank you!! |

Thanks DarkMoon. But how's it's coverage? As liquid concealer's coverage usually not as good as cream concealor. How do you think?? |

I find it does a great job actually, like you I was skeptical at first but purchased a kit on special that had it in there and fell in love! |

Dark Moon, I checked out that makeup, and it looks like some really nice stuff! Their prices are not bad either! Looks like I will be shopping for some new make-up! Thanks for sharing! |

I am using Cle de Peau with no issues, but I always apply eye cream, then sunscreen, then makeup.
I have tried, and read that Estee Lauder's eye cream that is in a tube works really well for dry skin and won't show the lines. |

Try Bobbi Brown Corrector and apply only to the darkest part, you need a pretty small concealer brush (I like Bare Escentuals precision concealer). The Corrector is rather concentrated so you only need a little bit.
Then its recommended to use a concealer over that. Lately I'm really liking Cover Girl & Olay simply ageless concealer. It covers pretty well and more important does not settle into lines or make the eye area look dry. There is also a corrector in this line but I have not tried it. |

I have been using Estee Lauders concealer for years and have been quite happy with it. One tube will last more than a year, but I'm sorry to say, that my ever increasing dark orbital area, needs something stronger now. I have also tried Bobbi Brown's concealer on occasion. It needs to be applied with a moisturizer, and it only seems to stay on if it is powdered slightly, to seal it. It's not bad, but not great either. I might give DK's recommendation a try. |

If you want to try the MMU they have the small size in the white zipper makeup case which also comes with 2 really nice brushes! I bought 3 a while back I for me and 1 for each daughter! They have very high quality products! |

Hi Katy,
The cosmetician that I found with BB (she is awesome - can't say enough about her) mentioned that to me when she was doing my makeup. I don't have dark circles under my eyes and my skin is really fair, so I just use the concealer. She said that for people with dark circles or with more prominent marks on their face, it is recommended that they use the corrector first. If it is still needed, then use the concealer and finally the foundation. She specifically said that with dark under eye circles, the corrector works the best. For some, they don't need the concealer afterwards. She used the powder on me to set the concealer, but I really don't like powder. She said that because my skin is SO dry, she wouldn't use the powder. She said that the powder will prevent it sinking into the lines, but for those who don't use it, they can simply tap the area with their finger tips. It helps set the concealer, without using a powder. You don't rub, just tap gently. I do this and I find it works. If it is settling into any the into lines under my eyes, I gently tap/press and it takes it away. |

I had just bought chantecaille concealer. The coverage is good and it's hydrating that my eye fine lines didn't show up after a few hours of application. |

I used Bobbi Brown Concealer for a long time, but it always settled into my fine lines and would crease within a few hours, and that even happened to me when I was in my 20s with almost no visible lines. For the last 6 months I have been on a crusade to find a new concealer. I have really dark circles as well. Bobbi Brown color correctors work pretty well and don't crease as much as their regular concealer, but I can't layer anything over it without ruining the coverage, and so the color is just a little off. I have recently found Cover FX Foundation through some pro makeup blogs. They actually use the Cream Foundation as a concealer, not the line's concealer. It covers extremely well, as it was designed for people with serious hyperpigmentation and other discolorations. It's sometimes difficult to find in a store where you can get matched, but you can look around online. Good luck! I hate my dark circles, and I know how difficult it is to cover them. |

Cle de Peau's makeup is great. I tried their lipstick and foundation before. But I haven't used their concealer. How's its coverage? Is it moisturizing enough??
I have tried Estee Lauder's eye cream(the pink one), but it did not really impressed me. |

I tried BB's corrector and concealer before. I think they are not hydrating enough for me, and the coverage is not enough too (cos my dark circle is really very dark!! )
I also find that applying powder will make my undereye area more dry and more fine line will appear....however, if I don't apply powder, the concealer just can't last long.... |

Thanks for the sharing!! Yes, I really really hate my dark circle. The worst thing is my dark circle is not only very dark but puffy as well.....so it's more difficult to cover!!
May I know where can I buy Cover FX Foundation? |

I think you can get Colour FX at Shoppers and Murale stores in Canada. |

I've tried the BB concealer in the past, I love the packaging with the loose yellow-based powder.
If it's too drying, I wonder, are you prepping properly beforehand. i.e. using an eye cream and letting it sit for 10 mins before applying your concealer? |

I do applying eye cream before using the concealer....However, I don't wait for 10 min, but a much shorter time, say 3-5 min, and then will apply the concealer......is it the problem that affecting the moisturizing level of my undereye area??? |

Sheer Cover has great concealer that is very densely pigmented. It also comes in a 2 tone pan which gives the added benefit of blending and allows for seasonal skin tone fluctuations. It is also nice and creamy. |
