I just noticed that BE is no longer sold online on EDS. I like the line, but I am willing to try something new! So what is the difference between Jane Iredale and Glominerals? I'm especially qurious about Glominerals since I ve found very little information about this brand on this forum, so I'm wondering if its bad or just a forgotten secret? |

Well, I'm waiting to try out the new ColoreScience which is owned by the same lady who owns BE. Having used BE before though, and having recently tried Jane Iredale pressed powder, I can tell you that I definitely prefer the Jane Iredale to BE! I'm loving the JI!
I have a sample of the Glominerals loose base (GloLoose) and I have tried it just before (as in, I stopped when I wrote the last sentence, went to the bathroom, dug up the sample and used it a few minutes ago). I never used it before because the shade (golden medium) just seemed WAY too dark for me and I had other MU to play with. I decided I'd try it now just to see what the effect is like but I didn't expect that the shade would actually suit me (I'm quite pale). It does! Go figure! The mineral makeup shades can be quite forgiving sometimes...
Anyhooo, getting back to the topic at hand.... At this rather early stage I prefer the effect of Glominerals rather than BE - seems very similar to the effect I get from Jane Iredale, i.e. even skin tone, not shiny but also not completely matte. I don't know how it will go during the day but I will use it tomorrow and see how it wears for the whole day and will review both the JI and the Glominerals on the weekend. My initial impression is that the Glominerals and JI are very similar but the GloLoose is less drying than the JI pressed (I have to spritz my face with the JI hydration mist as my face feels a bit dry right after application). No such problems with the Glominerals but that might also have something to do with the fact that (a) it's a loose powder rather than pressed, and more importantly (b) it's so disguistingly humid today! |

You are our old clients so you will still be able to buy BE on line. Please just log in to your account and you will enter your private EDS site with all the prices and options to buy. |
