My device shuts off after 9 minutes. Where do you see that you do it for 17? I've had mine for like 4 yrs though so maybe they are different now.

I bought mine fairly recently and mine shuts off after 17 minutes - so, yes, I think they changed the timer. Originally, they recommended one 9 minute treatment twice a day. Now they're saying you can do one session of 17 mins per day.

Mine is 17 minutes also. I got it less than a week ago from Nanci at NCN. I almost got the handheld one but from the reviews here I went with the larger one with the stand. I really do like it and it has already helped with the pain I get right behind my knee so hooray ( dual purpose ) Smile

Note to all: I've been using the DPL for a couple of months now without the goggles - as the brochure states this is quite safe to do. However, over the last week, I've noticed my eyes becoming a little sore. Whether this is actually due to the LED or something else, I don't really know. But I am now going to wear goggles - better to be safe than sorry!

I just wanted to update. I have had mine for a year. I had duct taped the panels to the back panel (without the stand) and was just putting it on my face while I laid down. Just last week, I decided to untape the panels and put them directly on my face and wow-I didn't realize how far away the lights actually were when I had them taped to the panel! It's definitely a different experience when they're directly on the face. Now I wonder if I've been really doing anything for the past year. Very Happy

My skin does appear to look nice and definitely has a nice glow. I'm not using any skin care besides daily moisturizer with SPF. Just the DPL and Facercise. I don't know how much the DPL is doing but I at least feel that it is doing more since I'm putting it directly on my face.

I'm using mine with the panels on the stand - but I half recline and rest the stand on my stomach (which is ample enough to make a supporting cushion!) with the panels resting on my face. I would prefer a better method for using this lying down, but it is do-able.

My skin has never looked healthier. I think I've said before that I changed my serums when I started with the DPL, so who knows what's doing what. But my skin has never been less problematic.
