Hello everyone. I just found this forum yesterday and let me say you girls really know your stuff!
I am 35 yr and my skin has started declining rapidly. As well I have recently been diagnosed with rosacea.
What I want to know is...
1) What is the one thing that has helped your skin the most.
2) What does one realistically need to spend on botox, IPL and fillers yearly and is there anything less expensive that helps reduce creasing around the brow, reduce pore size and minimize adult acne.
Thank you! |

I am really impressed with the LightStim. I have been keeping a eye on the size of my pores for a while now... and I can categorically state they have become smaller since I started the LightStim in late December 2010.
It may be a combo of the copper peptides/ matrixyl 3000 and the LED light (usually I use these two as my pre-treatment). I don't know, but since I'm not using any other gadgets, I am hugely impressed.
I've had a few pimples here and there and haven't noticed any particular improvement with my version of the LightStim (which is the anti-aging one). However, they do make an acne and rosacea version.
This, along with facial exercises, has even improved the 11s between my brows. Best thing I've used for the occasional pimple are these Peter Thomas Roth facial pads called "Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads"... super great stuff and if you're smart (use one side of the pad one day, save the other side for another) it lasts a LONG time. Really clears my skin up. |

You would have amazing results with Secret Gold. Pm me if you have questions. ASG is a miracle product for all ages and closest available to the fountain of youth. |

The only thing that worked for my adult acne was Roaccutane. Three months on the pills and my acne was done and dusted. |

Retinoids! They are less expensive and help reduce lines and wrinkles, reduce pore size and minimize adult acne.
I realize that with rosacea, one would have to be especially careful, but one trick I've heard is to apply prescription tretinoin on the non-rosacea-prone areas of the face, and a gentler but still effective retinoid like Avene's retinal in Ystheal or Eluage or Retrinal on the cheeks and/or nose.
On the low (price, not quality) end, retinoids might only cost $10 per year, but $100/yr is probably more realistic.

Dr Bailey has rosacea and uses tretinoin. |
