It depends on the person and the shade. I am pale so dark tones and very light ones look hideous on me. I prefer medium.

Yeah it really just depends on the person. In the blog, I think she's right about the first two, but Mandy Moore still looks good with medium shade. But I think I get what the author is saying.. it doesn't really provide enough contrast to have an eye-catching effect. It's kind of just there...

I agree, it's one person's opinion and she admits if and when fashion trends dictate she will be eating her words? Sounds more like a fashion trend victim than a free thinking woman who chooses what's best on her rather than what is pushed by trends!
Sorry I think it's best to go with what looks best on you as an individual.
