| I'm looking through the recipe list and I really want to try a lot of them. But I'm just wondering if these recipes are harmful to acne-prone skin at all? |

| The DIY DHCC actually cured the acne I've had for my entire adult life. I've found most of the DIY in there is actually good for it because of the omission of irritants we find in preserved products on the shelves. |

| Oh, forgot, and you can also add your own ingredients to customize them for your own skin- thinking Tea Tree Oil for your acne as its a natural antiseptic, or Ylang Ylang Oil if you have oily skin (controls oil producion perfectly and smells heavenly). Good luck and have some fun with the DIY! |

Oasisjc,
There are many DIY recipes that are excellent for helping to control acne and sebum production, along with aiding in other aspects of dermal health.
You can make it as complex or as simple as you wish. As long as you are working with the correct actives and amounts you should be fine. That being said: Test first for irritation before you apply to the face.
For myself, a potion of Vitamin B3/ Niacinamide and N-acetyl D glucosamine ended the acne. Improved hydration, basically a rather potent combination.
Use of Retinyl palmitate, Vit A, an essential part of dermal health for skin barrier function.
Nothing works overnight though, persistence and consistency are part of it as well. |
