I am about to embark on the Renova experience (or Refissa, whichever I can find cheaper online). Not sure which strength to buy. What has been your experience with the different strengths?
I was thinking every other night with stronger Renova/Refissa, using LacSal alternate nights OR weaker Renova every night, forgetting LacSal totally. I've used my Refissa .05 sample Friday and Monday only so far.
Will I get "more bang for the buck" if I just go for the .05% Renova and vary the nights (more or fewer) according to reaction?
If there is a thread that already discusses this, please post the link. Thanks! |

If my memory serves me right, somebody mentioned on this forum once that in the long run Retin A 0.025% is as effective as Retin A 0.05%. |

It doesnt really matter. Think about it like this, using .025 retin a or renova every day is the same as .05 every other day. It is about how much tretinoin you apply to your skin over time not when you apply it. Being able to tolerate every day is a difference story. You don't really need the lacsal with retin a. I would go for skin biology cp serum instead of the lacsal. Retin a will exfoliate enough especially as often as you are planning on using it. Greg |

I already use Skin Signals in the AM from Skin Biology. I should check their forum to see how other Renova users incorporate both products and what their results are.
Now off to find the cheapest place to buy, probably Canada and probably the generic form. |

Have you found either of these online without a prescription? |

I asked my derm's office asst. to send me a Rx for Renova instead of Refissa since it's easier to find a generic and it just arrived. It's .02 not .05 as Refissa sample, which means I will probably have to use it daily. I normally use LacSal to get rid of blackheads. Will Renova take care of the blackheads or should I continue just using LacSal on my nose only? |
