| So my boyfriend has started to become self-conscious about the hair that's growing around his cheekbone and temples. It's not part of his beard or anything, it's just close around the eyes and at the very peak of his cheekbones. I personally find it cute hehe. But he said it's getting to dark and long and he doesn't want to shave it cause he fears it might turn to stubble. I was thinking of waxing it, but it's probably not a good idea to do it that close to the eye and also on the sensitive skin around that area. I would thread it, but I have no idea how to do it. I've seen some people use these coils that can be rolled across the hair to pull them out but not sure where I can get them... Any ideas? |

| He could just dry shave it off. Hair removal is not complicated. |

I say just buzz it off with one of those facial trimmers -- the classic as-seen-on-tv one is about $10.00.
It shouldn't take much time to do, and it won't be serious stubble if he checks and buzzes it every day. Tons of people have to do stuff like this -- probably *most* once we pass a certain age. |

| I am starting to get stronger hair all over - from taking silicea - including starting to get more hair near my ears on my face. Not exactly sideburns but more noticeable than bef. Wondering whether laser hair removal would be detrimental to the skin at all. Anybody know? They say at the laser clinic that in a small no of people the laser turns their skin darker but that is temporary/ can be reversed. Wondering if there are any other things that could be bad from laser h r for skin health. |

| I've had laser hair removal before and I've never experienced darker skin. I think it would be a good "risk" to take considering it's reversible |

I think this is an issue that can happen more so with darker skin. That why its very important that the right laser is used for your skin type but most places only have 1 type of laser. If the clinic you spoke to is seeing hyper-pigmentation I would not go to them. |

This seems to be an issue with lighter skin and dark hair. Fortunately this type of person is also the best candidate for laser hair removal.
If he doesn't want to shave he should try waxing. It's probably similar hair to the hair that females have above the lip. |
