I think I've started obagi over...accidentally.
Let me tell you why I think I must be the most "luckiest" person on earth. I was on my week 12 when I had traveled out of town, and when I got back, I noticed I forgot my tretinion!! (OH NO!) With my doctor's schedule I wasn't able to get a new tube until 4 days after I returned from my trip.(she wouldn't prescribe, I had to buy it from the office) When I got home, I noticed that the tretinoin was expire! (OH NO!!) Lucky me the doctor's office closes at 8pm on Mondays, so after work I made my way over. I must be cursed because when I got there, there was a sign that the office was closed due to power outage. (OH NO!!) So I ended up finally getting my tretinoin a few days later.
I've been off trentinoin for 2 weeks before I was able start up again, and my face is on fire. Have I ended up starting from day 1 again? I'm so bummed! I'm in a wedding next weekend and my face is beet red and peeling.
Do you think it will clear up by next week or can anyone suggest what I can do to make it better to get me through next weekend? |

Hi Luckylady,
You haven't started over, but having not used the tretinoin for two weeks, your skin is once again acclimating to the products. If you were planning on a total treatment time of 18-24 weeks, you might need/want to extend it by a few more.
As for the wedding weekend and not being beet red and peely, I would stop all Obagi products 4-5 days prior to the event and just resume when the weekend is over.
All is not lost! |
