Hi,
I am lucky enough to have both Seborrheic Dermatitis and Rosacea. Yippie! I've done loads of research on RLT and have been treating myself with an Omnilux New U for about 7 months.
I have to say, the results have been great. I don't flush/blush as much, I don't burn when I drink and the redness had gone down loads.
I've been experimenting to find the best technique for continued use and to treat my fine lines. Unfortunately I haven't improved them and for a short while I actually thought they were getting worse (but might just be me looking for them!). I have tried the green tea method with no success (10 weeks, every day using red for 2 minutes), the Omnilux method (20 mins iR then 2 days later 20 mins red - once per week).
I shouldn't grumble as the IR for 20 mine twice a week keeps the rosacea in fairly good check, but I wonder how I could improve my fine lines too and also I wonder if I'm using it too much!
The guy who did the really long post (thanks for that btw) mentioned joules output and time and the Omnilux is much more powerful and the instructions require you to use it for longer then others.
So I suppose I'm asking:
1. Am I using it too much and may be making things worse fine lines wise?
2. What's the best method of reducing fine lines? Should I be using both IR (833mm) and red (630nm) and how so?
3. Does it even help with fine lines?? Or just wrinkles?
Sorry for all the questions! |
