If money were no object, what type of laser treatment would you have done on your face for anti-aging benefits (tightening, less wrinkles, overall rejuvenation?)
If money were an object, what type of laser treatment would you have done on your face for the same symptoms?
Thanks, bfg |

To be really honest if money where no problem I would have a facelift!!
seriously though, I have only ever had a couple of IPL treatments for broken caps and pigmentation, I was very happy with the results and wouldn't mind having a touch up, as its been about 16 months?
I was just looking at another one for 'tightening'which is really my biggest issue (jowl sag!yuk) but I honestly don't know if they are really worth the money. I think the results, especially for tightening are very sublte.
Of course to answer your question if money was not an issue I would try them all...lol
There are so many good and mostly bad reviews for lasers it's a difficult decision.
this is the site I was looking at..some of their before and afters for great..

Like Bermie, if money was no object, I would try them all. For some reason I'm not so keen on the idea of having a face-lift. A face-lift seems like admitting defeat!!! So far, I've had Thermage (no visible difference) and a Pearl Laser (did improve the look of my skin but did nothing for sag).
I would love to try another skin-tightening laser but they're so expensive and the results don't appear to be that fantastic. But then, if money was no object I would be able to afford a series of treatments (which is what I think celebrities have done). |

I think that the IPL's are the best face treatment for the money, for me in particular. They do the most overall in helping with rosacea spots, freshness. I had a series of the Cool touch (did nothing), Fraxel (damaged my skin) and CO2 (did nothing for the amount of pain and recovery time)that I could definitively say.
The upper and lower bleph for me was money so well spent! That was a good investment.
Someday I may have a mini-lift for the sagging along with a heavy peel to help with fine lines but not ready yet! |

I've just had two Laser Genesis treatments and they seem to be doing very well.I could see almost immediate results. I also recently had Titan on my throat and I am waiting to see if it works. (It supposedly doesn't show results until two-four weeks.) I am also using my new NUVE LED device which is handheld. It came from Light Therapy Products and is better than my old one which I had to sit in front of for nine minutes (which seemed like a lifetime). I am using it on my chest, hands and the inside of my elbows which 'went south' on me this year. I hope the Titan work on my throat. It is very expensive (even with a 'spa package') and I won't be able to do many of them with the promise of unknown results. |

Hmmm, so far I have done spa facials and microdermabrasion fairly regularly and occasionally I have had a lunch-time chemical peel. My skin doesn't sag yet but I have notice a little decrease in cheek volume over the past couple of years. I think loss of volume is actually what causes the sagging or least it greatly contributes to it.
When I start to notice sagging (if money is no problem) I will probably try fillers first and if that doesn't work or when that no longer works, I will probably go for a mini lift or mid-face lift.
If money is a problem, then I guess I would just stick with fillers and continue my copper peptides, retin a, etc routine. I really doubt I would opt for all over laser treatments of any sort because the reviews on them are all rather disappointing so the recovery time & $$ just isn't worth it - unless they come out with something new & wonderful in the laser treatments. |
