My eyes and lids feel red and irritated after a month of daily use of Careprost. My lashes look slightly longer. I'd like to get to a maintenance phase if there is such a thing, where I could use every other day or every third day so I don't have eye irritation. Is this possible without losing lashes? |

I have read that once you get your lashes to where you want them for maintenance you can cut back to every 2or 3 days. They wont get longer but its suppose to keep the length you got. |

I've never had any irritation from Careprost at all! But then again maybe the skin around my eyes has become more resistant because I've been using Osmosis Refresh PM for 2.5 years - and since StemFactor came along I use that all over my eyelids and right up under my eye before applying Refresh...
I've been using Careprost for about 1.5 years and after about 4 months I cut back to maintenance mode and I only use it 2-3 times per week |

I think I'll try every other night and see what happens. If more lashes start to fall out, I'll go back to nightly. |

I think you will be fine using every other night.
After I'd read about a few people having redness and irritation from Careprost, I was surprised that I didnt have any as my eyes used to be EXTREMELY sensitive. But I really think my eye sensitivity has reduced since using Osmosis products on them... |

I have very sensitive eyes, but I never had any reaction to careprost. I found it really good, no stinging or anything. It was also very effective although it did take about 14 weeks to really see the real results. I dropped back to about 3 times a week too and then eventually stopped using it as my eyelashes where actually getting too long!
I have just started back using it after about 6 months, I have noticed that my eyelashes look short again, although it seems to have happened gradually.
So I would say if you have achieved the length you want, 3 times a week should be fine. |

I have used careprost. With GREAT results. Almost freaky results. So I backed off a bit. No need to be confused with a camel. LOL
I did every now and then find my lashline a bit irritated. But not day in and out.
Honestly, if you've experienced a barely noticable difference AND your eyes are irritated, AND your eye lashes are falling out? I'd either ditch the product all together (as you must be allergic to an ingredient), or back of to 1 or 2 times a week.
Your eyes are WAY more important that extra pretty lashes... It was through a conversation with our chemist explaining to me some very serious issues she's seen in her studies with eyes from allergic reactions, or contaminated products makeing me now HYPER vigiliant with regard to tossing mascara after so many months, and other eye products. I'd rather have short lashes (well, mine are naturally longish) than say a missing eyeball... Not to be an alarmist... Just keep that in mind when you're thinking of what to put on your eye and what is does to you... pros/cons...
Take Care, |

I only use it once a week now, down from 2-3 times a week. Maintains the length without the fallout. Works like a charm! |
