I just got a diamond tip home microdermabrasion machine, I also wanted to start doing TCA peels, and perhaps even the pumpkin ones. Im 32. Has a baby 9 months ago...suffered from acne and cystic acne...I'm trying to get my skin back to a good place....what would be a good guideline in combining these procedures..thank you

What strength of TCA peel solution did you purchase?

That's correct, just making sure you got the lower strength. I think you should start off with doing the microdermabrasion and see how that goes, If your skin isnt to sensitive you can alternate the peel and the microdermabrasion once a fortnight. This is probably the strongest route, if at any time your skin responds negatively you can cut down to once a month. Where did you get your TCA solution from?

I agree, I'm new to doing facials on my own. But they seem to have great prices and products. I'm looking forward to saving money, and hopefully achieving the results i desire. Thank you for responding!

No worries Smile I think one of the best things about EDS is that it gives you the opportunity to learn how to do it yourself and someone is always more than happy to clear up any concerns you may have. I really hope you get the results you desire.

My advice always to people is to just go very slowly.

I once had a series of microdermabrasion at a clinic - they were done every two weeks - after the 3rd one my skin broke out terribly and yet normally I only suffer from a few hormonal pimples.

Remember that is takes the skin at least 28 days to heal/rejuvenate. Wink

I would be careful about doing the microderm and peels. You will only want to do a peel every 3-4 weeks at most and you wont be able to use anything abrasive for atleast 2 weeks after the peel.

Personally I never found microdermabrasion helpful. It can be nice to freshen up your skin but doesn't really provide any lasting results, except for the broken capillaries I got from it.

Do you still have acne or you just trying to treat the scars?
