I'm a 26 year old man and I'm using Reaura for my face for the second time (first time 9 months ago), 7 treatments done now. I use intensity level 2. My skin feels and looks a bit irritated, worse than before I started my second cycle and it's 3 night since last treatment. I have quite sensitive skin. Generally my face is worse than ever and I'm frustrated, and I wonder if it's possible that Reaura is just making things worse? My face is looser and saggier than ever, looks tired and sad, and I used to be happy that I looked a bit younger than my age and had a fairly good skin. Nasolabial folds that couple of months ago were my main concern and I was hoping to improve them, are worse than ever. Not fun. I will post another post asking for general advice, but now I wonder if I should stop Reaura? It's a cold winter too and that doesn't help.

Here's a picture of me yesterday (erase the spaces in the link)

After all the effort, lifestyle improvement, Reaura, Lightstim (for a whole year) and topicals I would hope to be getting better, not worse :P Would you guys recommend I go through with this Reaura cycle?

I'm getting ready to dust off my reaura but am concerned abou damaging my eyes.

How do you protect your eyes during treatment? Of course I close them but am wondering if using goggles is advisable especially given the warning to avoid the thyroid area. And how do you get around the eyes for crows feet (my problem) if you do wear goggles?

Thanks!

You will find that it is not a problem - ReAura is not like the laser in the Drs office and the pulses stay right where you put them so that you will not require goggles. I do not do anything to protect my thyroid either. Don't think the light treatment goes that deep into the skin.

best, mis

It's impossible to shine the laser into your eyes. Philips wouldnt have released a product that allowed that to happen. It has sensors built into the treatment head that will stop laser emission once it loses contact.

I once again started using my ReAura. Did a treatment on Saturday and doing another tonight. I continue to be amazed, each time I use this, at how flushed skin gets, but also how quickly it goes away and once it goes away my skin just has this amazing glow.

My friend got Fraxel about a week ago, I believe the middle level one, is it Restore? She came over the day after and her skin was only slightly pink, it didnt even look bad. I thought professional treatments usually leave people looking scary for a few days following? It made me once again, dust off the ReAura and do a treatment lol.

I need to be consistent with this device. I have a bad habit of using a product and forgetting to follow the treatment protocol, in ReAura's case, I need be strict and use 2x week. Horrible habit of mine to forgot to follow protocol. I am so glad I bought the ReAura when I did though, they are more hard to find now, and on eBay they are about 500-1000$ more than when I bought one.

Also, I know I've mentioned this, but the ReAura works so much BETTER using veg. glycerin, over the gel it comes with.

I was wondering, how many of you are still using the ReAura?

I still do sometimes but I am in my early 30s and avoiding sun / wearing a lot of sunscreen on a daily basis hence I am quite unsure of the actual ReAura results myself...

How about you guys?

Still using and loving this device. Although I use Tretinoin I suffer no ill effects. Treatments will cause peeling skin which can be washed off with fingertips or washcloth leaving radiant skin and over time will eliminate dark spots.

Most effective skin device purchased, and I have sampled a lot. At seventy acquaintances frequently ask how I get such flawless and glowing skin. Even my new family doctor!

I agree that glycerin is the best slip medium, and it is also good for the dermis and not oily.

If you are on the fence, go back over this thread. I think all the questions have been dealt with at one time or another.

The only catch is that you need to actually follow the two days a week, two months on one off to get a good result. Sporadic treatments will not give you the results you are right to expect with such a pricey device.
