I have tried drugstore brands. It is better than none at all...but still seeking even better of course lol. I wear the primer, eyeshadow and gel eyeliner. By a couple hours later, my shadow is over my eyeliner. So is it bad primer, or bad eyeshadow? Both are drugstore btw. |

Drugstore is not necessarily worse than high end: totally depends on the formulation, application method and whatever skincare products are underneath. |

I use cp's first. Then a primer (almay) and physicans formula shadow and maybelline gel liner. Am pleased with the liner. But my shadow falling onto my liner is the problem. So Im thinking either the primer or shadow does not have staying power? |

I got a mini size of the Urban Decay eye primer and I'm mighty impressed. I'll definitely get the full size version - it even keeps my under eye concealer in place.
I just dot it on my eyelid, then blend it in with a concealer brush sweeping it just under my eye too. I dont often actually wear eyeshadow much but I find that the eye primer keeps my concealer/foundation in place on/around my eyes. I always wear liquid eyeliner on my top lid, and sometimes a little eyeliner under my eyes or some eyeshadow or glitter just at the corner of my eyes - the primer keeps everything in place.
I generally find better brands better than drugstore - it depends on the product though. But that said I've been rocking a Maybelline foundation for the last 6 months because I cant find a high end one that is better |

Okay, just went to sephora online and found it. Do you use the clear or the colored? |

I use primer on my eyes and powder shadows. If I use shadow gel on my eyelids, the eye make-up does not last very long. I think keep it simple will make shadow lasts much longer...

Im having a hard time finding a good non shimmer shadow. I like the look....but lately my skin has a crepey skin around my eyes and the shimmer shadows seem to enhance the wrinkly thin skin My stronger cp's JUST came in the mail, so HOPING it will thicken my skin there. But until that is solved, I need make up that will hide that. Or at least not make it stand out. |

The Urban Decay eye primer I got is in a lilac-purpley coloured tube and the product comes out looking a pale skin colour. It rocks |

I bought the wrong shade of foundation but kept it to use as eye primer. Works just as well and is cheaper. |

What brand of foundation was it SoftSkin?
A Bobbi Brown makeup artist told me the best foundations to use as an eye primer need to be an oil-based as oil-free wont grab enough - I tended to believe him as my old faithful Prescriptives Flawless Skin Foundation was oil-free but was terrible as an eye primer lol any eyeshadow no matter how good the brand would vanish within 4 hours! |
