or mineral oil? I was really looking forward to the Vanicream line. I really like the spf30 sunscreen and was hoping to have luck with their creams/lotions/moisturizers since they are rather plain but gentle, affordable, paraben/fragrance/irritant free and derm recommended and all. However, I was disappointed to find out that the cream and lotion has mineral oil in it. which I prefer to not to use.
Any similar types of brands that don't use petrolatum? |

I dont know where you are located but Beauty and the Bees is a great line for the botanically, non-irritant minded amoung us. I used their products extensively before I got into DIY. They are well crafted and work.

You might consider Weleda. Most products are based on sweet almond oil - no parabens, artificial fragrances or petroleum products. My sensitive skin loves the baby calendula face cream, but the adult lines have also won awards! I've also heard positive reviews of the California Baby line, many products include aloe vera and again no nasties. |

I would recommend trying the CeraVe line. I recently got the Vanicream SPF 60 for a trip to Mexico, and I've got my fingers crossed that it will do the trick (plus hat, parasol, and Sunpills). But I use CeraVe AM SPF 30 every morning here, and while the line does have parabens, it is otherwise gentle, affordable, etc. |
