Can anyone recommend a fairly inexpensive foundation with natural ingredients, nice texture and without SPF?

Not sure what you consider "natural" ingredients, but this is without spf - Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation.

AmazingLife, I am looking for a liquid foundation.

Circus, made with natural ingredients or mineral-based foundation, so that I can safely sweat while wearing it! Very Happy

RussianSunshine mineral-based foundation uses zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide, and both are UV filters even though they might not be labelled with "SPF".

Hmm... it's actually quite difficult to find a foundation without spf. The Bourjois is as close as possible to natural, it is also drugstore (inexpensive). But it is not exactly sweat resistant nor long lasting.

FACE Atelier's ultra foundation also is non spf. This one is really sweat/budge proof. It is silicone based, uses cyclomethicone instead of cyclopentasiloxane which many acne-prone people have problems with. It's a Canandian brand. Not cheap but they do sell samples for trialing. No shade match for PPP. I am NC15 and have to mix zero minus with ivory.

FACE Atelier ultra foundation ingredients -
Cyclomethicone, Water, Glycerin, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Cetyl Peg/Ppg-10/1 Dimethicone, Hexyl Laurate, Cetyl Dimethicone Copolyol, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Quaternium-18 Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Cellulose Gum, Nylon-12, Tribehenin, Lauroyl Lysine, Tristearin, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben. May Contain: Ci77891/Titanium Dioxide, Ci77492 Ci77491 Ci77499/Iron Oxides, Mica Ci77019

Not that natural... oops Razz

I can't think of a liquid foundation that's pretty much chemical free...but FACE is beautiful and the coverage is natural so you won't get those "lovely" sweat lines if your sweat drips down your face.

Maybe you could mix some Rejuva Minerals with your daytime moisturizer to make a liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer. It takes a little playing around to find the right ratio, but it's simple to mix products in your hand each morning. Rejuva costs $10USD for 5gm "sample" (which is plenty) and has the least offensive profile I've found so far:

INGREDIENTS:
Boron Nitride (synthesized natural mineral)
Kaolinite (Clay)
Ecocert Organic Oryza Sativa (Rice) Powder
Iron Oxides (pigment)
Certified Organic Punica Granatum (Pomegranate)
Certified Organic Vitis Vinifera (Grape)
Certified Organic Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary)

I'm a fitness instructor, so I know what it's like to want sweat-proof makeup. I would stay away from anything full-coverage. My favorite solution is to use a self tanner at bedtime (I really like Never Over the Hill Moisturizing Self Tanning Spray), then a tinted moisturizer in the day. Only problem with that is finding a "natural" self tanner is probably harder than finding a natural foundation. Crying or Very sad

Good luck! Let us know if you find something that works for you.

circus, thanks for you recommendation! When I said by "sweat safely" I meant without fearing that the foundation will clog my pores or any chemical junk will get deep into my skin. Sorry, I wasn't very clear on that.

I know that Raesinimages make natural make up but their liquid foundation is very dry.
http://www.raesinimages.com/liquidmineralmakeup.htm

Liquid Mineral Foundation Makeup Ingredients:

Ingredients : Aqua(distilled water), Aloe Barbadensis(Aloe)Leaf Juice, Olive Squaline, Triglycerides, E Wax, Glycerin, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Lactate, Zantham Gum, Cetyl Esters, Vitamin E, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Dimethicone, Pigment Blend (Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Silica,+/-(iron oxides red, yellow, black, green, ultramarine blue) (less than .05% Germaben II-E.

Dr Hauschka makes Translucent Make-up Foundation which contains alcohol Embarassed and is very drying as well.

AmazingLife, thanks for a suggestion but I prefer not to wear any moisturizers. Well, finding natural foundation is harder than I thought... )

I see that you're fair-skinned. Will you be buying whatever product you settle on online? I'm fair too and from reading reviews of various natural foundations, a lot of them don't have a big colour range, and the lightest one is still too dark for fair skin.

What comes to mind is Juice Beauty Perfecting Foundation

Ingredients
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Glycerin, Lecithin*, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil*, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Cera Alba (Beeswax)*, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil* Infused With Vaccinium Corymbosum (Blueberry) Seed Oil*, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Oil*, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Seed Oil*, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Seed Oil*, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Seed Oil* & Fragaria Ananassa (Strawberry) Seed Oil*, Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Berry*, Lycium Chinense (Goji) Berry*, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Cetyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Extracts Of Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme), Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) & Citrus Sinensis (Sweet Orange) Oil. May Contain: Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Mica

and

100% Pure Healthy Skin Foundation

Ingredients
Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf (Aloe Juice)1, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Extracts of Prunus Persica Fruit (Peach), Prunus Armeniaca Fruit (Apricot), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa Bean) and Lycium Barbarum Fruit (Goji Berry), Euterpe Oleracea Pulp (Acai) Oil, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract (Pomegranate Oil), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Extracts of Organic Camelia Sinensis Leaf Ferment (White Tea)2, Coffea Arabica (Coffee Cherry), Aristotelia Chilensis (Maqui Berry), Vitis Vinifera Skin (Muscadine Grape), Garcinia Mangosteen Peel (Mangosteen), Malpighia Punicifolia Fruit (Acerola), Sambucus Canadensis (Elderberry), Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed, Lonicera Caprifolium (Japanese Honeysuckle)

But again, JB only has 3 colours, and 100% Pure 5 or 6. Plus Murale doesn't carry Juice Beauty makeup (at least in Montreal) and they definitely don't carry 100% Pure.

You may want to try RMS Beauty Concealer. I know some people wear it as foundation and say it looks good.

Ingredients : *Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, *Cera Alba (Beeswax), *Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (non-GMO), *Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, and may contain: [+/- Titanium Dioxide CI 77891, Iron Oxides CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499]

Granted, it's pretty expensive to use it as foundation as a little jar is $36. On the plus side, you can try it out at Pretty Beauty & Books located at 587 Markham St.

You can also check out The Big Carrot. They seem to have a lot of personal care products.

By the way, if you want to try out 100% pure or JB, you should order through ebeauty.ca They ship for free and their returns policy is reasonable.

This is what they have in the way of natural foundation: http://www.ebeauty.ca/Liquid/pages/productresults?nav=N:2030214-2038888.
