Hey all,
I'm looking at doing a low-risk at-home peel. Is there anything you'd recommend that won't make me peel in sheets or risk damaging my skin?
Also, does anyone sell an at-home version of the VI peel?
Thanks! |

What are you wanting to achieve by peeling?
Lactic acid has large molecules so cannot penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin, is naturally found in the skin, and hydrates as it exfoliates so is considered to be gentler that some acids. It doesn't tend to make you peel in strips or flakes either but no acid is 100% safe - I gave myself a (small) chemical burn by going over an area more than once. It's really a case of starting with a weak peel and building up slowly: 25-30% for three minutes is suitable for sensitive skin. I can also recommend doing one area at a time to begin with, you have more control that way. |

I really want to achieve some semi-dramatic results - resurfacing, pore reduction, wrinkle reduction - but without the obvious recovery time.
Has anyone done a VI peel at home? |
