Do any of you have experience in products that work to fade acne marks? My daughter asked me today to find her something. I'd like some help if any of you have suggestions on what has worked for you. She wants them gone...not just reduced. They are not deep scares just red marks left from acne healing.

Thanks

I thought vit c and retin a could be used to fade scars that's why I've been using it can't say I've seen any improvement yet but its only been a few months.

AHA is really helpful for this. I'd start with that. I think Paula's Choice has good AHA products.

vit c worked nicely for me, and so did retin a, I think.

They're not quick fixes, but they do work. I get dark pigmention from any damage caused to my skin, so that's saying something. I dot on hydroquinone and low % peels sometimes if I really want things to escalate, but I'm really careful since I've CAUSED serious scarring just dotting on acid peels.

I wouldn't recommend acid peels for any young girl's skin. Dangerous and not necessary, but if you decide on it, pleeeease go with a very low percentage and do your research. Actually, same with vit c and retin-a.

I would actually recommend ocm which does amazing things for encouraging skin to function properly. I think that's all that should be needed since a young person's skin should already be regenerating fairly well. Please get her to try this first or along with something gentle & safe and see how fast it improves.

I use the microdermabrasion kit by Neostrata 1-2 times a week, and glycolic acid cream every night. It helps to fade the red marks! Also, vitamins supplements helped me a lot, try to find one with 15mg of Zinc. My skin heal much faster, it takes about 1 month to see the results.

Apply NeoStrata Gel Plus on the acne scars before sleep at night and they will fade within 2 weeks (for new scars).

I agree, the Neostrata Gel Plus works great, but it's very strong. The marks will appear worst (red) but it will start to fade after 2-3 weeks.
