What are your best/favorite DIY fixies? Concerning skin, hair and appearance in general!
An old friend or ex surprises you with a visit. You have either several hours, days or nor more than a week to prepare! |

I generally do most of these things anyway but if I've been busy, ill or have something really big coming up that will be immortalised in photos I kick it up a notch and have a three day plan to get me looking more toned and glowing. I like to go for a "oh i just rolled out of bed and happen to be this gorgeous!" look which actually takes a bit of work rather than really dress up
Food: no starchy carbs or sugary fruit, a huge green smoothie each day and eggs or fish with vegetables for other meals. This gets rid of muscle glycogen and therefore bloating. Extra psyllium husks in the morning and mint tea.
Day 1: First thing in the morning do an exhausting interval workout of resistance exercises followed by 30 mins power yoga in layers. Exfoliate and epsom salt bath on the night.
Day 2: Hour of power yoga in layers. Hair mask, rinse off with a light shampoo, use violet toner and no conditioner but use oil on the ends. Cold blow dry then twist into a bun overnight. Apply a light fake tan.
Day 3: Hour of power yoga in layers at least 4 hours before this "event". Shower then give my whole body a good oiling! Charcoal face mask then facial oil and massage.
I suppose if I needed to look good for more than a day or two I'd stick to the yoga and way of eating for a week and do a facial peel on day one. |
