I just had this done today and nothing gives instant gratification as filler does. I try all the creams and serums and nothing really works - but a bit of filler and its instantly filled - taking years off, making me feel and look better. not my first time with filler but each time i get the same satisfaction. just thought id share. Very Happy

ZZ... Filler is great.. and you're right..it works right then and there. It is just getting too much that is the old slippery slope. Or, god forbid, having an bad injector.
Still.. if done right..the change is subtle..usually making the person getting the filler feel better than any real major change.

I still believe topical skincare is more responsible for my youthful skin. The quality of the skin is what really makes a woman look younger not just the absence of wrinkles. So using both is ideal.
Also..I put botox right up there with filler in just plain old.."it works!" category.

Have to agree about Botox and fillers, the instant gratification is great! I think its worth it personally, that way the wrinkles don't get a chance to form and get deep. Skincare is of course very important, as our gadgets for upkeep etc.

If I were to ever get fillers, I would want an injector as skilled as Rand Rusher. Did you ever see the reality show "Pretty Hurts"? The show is about an RN who does injections in Beverly Hills. It's great to watch if you are interested in getting anything done. You can watch episodes online.

Maybe facial exercise could help too?

I just went to my Dermatologist to get my filler done in my nasal fold area again. I've only had it done 1 other time and I had Juvederm the first time...it lasted me about 4 months which I wasn't to happy about since I was told it would last at least 6 months. Anyway, he talked me into Restylane and Perlane (1 syringe of each)and he told me the syringes of Restylane and Perlane have more product in them than Juvederm syringes and the cost was the same...so I went with his recommendation. He also told me that my result will last 6-8 months so I'm thrilled with my result from today and hopeful it lasts as long as he said it will. I'll keep you up to date on how long it lasts Very Happy

Raidesse is the same..I think it lasts 9 to 11 months.. the only difference is that it cannot be dissolved if a mistake is made..as you can with juvederm. But if you have an injector who knows what they're doing...the risk is worth the savings and superior product.
