When EDS first started stocking PCA a few months ago (I think it was a few months ago, but I'm terrible with time) I got one of the PCA trial kits to see how it would compare to MDF products.

I have not yet used all of the products from the kit but there are three that I reached for often. One of them is the Phase 1 cleanser (oily/problem skin), the second is the Phase 16+ vitamin C cream (which I think I reviewed in some other thread already), and the third is the pHaze 4 Gentle Exfoliant (review pending Smile).

I really like the cleanser and I do prefer it to the MDF glycolic cleanser. I have recommended the MDF AHA cleanser to many people before (both on here and off) but I have almost always stated with it that it's a very "boring" cleanser and one which texture I do not entirely like. The PCA cleanser does virtually the same job for me as the MDF one but it foams up more and seems to leave my face more comfortable. This is not to say that the MDF one dried out my face but on the spectrum of dryness the PCA seems less drying.

The reason I started using this was because I was getting quite a few of those annoying tiny little bumps on my forehead (something that I seem to be prone to). I have in the past used MDF for this (among others) with really good results and this time around I have seen the same good results from the PCA cleanser (probably in combination with the exfoliant - that I can't say).

I would recommend this to anyone who has skin that is prone to congestion or some breakouts. This would also be a better choice, in my opinion, than the MDF cleanser for those that have drier skin and are worried about drying it out some more.

The above post is a review of the following product available at EDS:
PCA SKIN® Facial Wash (206.5 ml / 7 oz)
PCA SKIN® Facial Wash (206.5 ml / 7 oz)

This refreshing, skin-friendly AHA and aloe gel cleanser gently and effectively removes makeup and environmental impurities while leaving the skin supple and pH balanced. It soothes skin and loosens impacted cells to smooth surface texture.
