I've been looking at buying some tiny spoons. I didn't want the over priced throw away ones particularly.

Some of the quantities I want to measure will be 0.15cc, 0.3cc and 0.5cc and 1.00cc

I've come across Drop, Tad, Dash, Smidge or smidgeon, Pinch Spoons

Smidgeon appears to be 0.15 cc
Pinch appears to be 0.30 cc

Can anyone confirm and tell me what Tad and Dash are?

Alternatively how do other people measure these small quantities when making serum?

I would suggest you check with the seller to be sure. Just by way of example, both these sets of spoons from the same seller actually measure different amounts even though they are similarly labelled.

I use a weighing scale to measure amounts. Lotioncrafter stocks both scales and measuring spoons of all kinds.

Weight measurements are much better to use than volume measurements especially when you are making serums with any degree of accuracy.

For example, 9 spoonfuls of water and one spoonful of L-Ascorbic crytals you will not make a 10% C serum, because the water is much denser than the powder. Weighing those quantites will reveal your C serum to be something very wide of a 10% solution. Shock

Volume measurements of different density materials is fine for baking a cake because you
are not aiming to have a sponge with a certain % of a particular ingredient in it. With skin formulations you are.
