I am looking to buy some nice antioxidant serum? something to feed the skin.
I have been looking at some Skinactives products but would love some feedback if any one has used any of these products. I can't use the search function it doesn't work!!
I was interested in the "Let's Make Collegen? Has anyone used this?

I haven't tried any of the new products on Skinactives, but my favorite product from them is the CHAS serum. It can be gritty and not everyone likes the texture, but it is a great antioxidant serum. |

I have always been interested in the Be Kind Rewind, but have never tried it. I would be interested in hearing comments on that one, too! |

I have purchased CHAS, Let's Make Collagen & Alpha Beta Exfoliator Solution.
My favorite is CHAS and followed by the Alpha Beta Solution. |

From what I have been reading alot of people seem to suggest that the LMC is drying?
My skin is already dry!
The CHAS serum seems to be liked? |

Has anyone tried the Antioxidant Booster? I'm thinking of using it at night with a carrier oil.
I also wanted to buy some stuff from SA but most of their ingredient lists dissuaded me. I was interested in the CHAS serum but I'm trying to create a skin routine without any irritants.
"propylene glycol (and) diazolidinyl urea (and) methylparaben (and) propylparaben"
Propyl paraben is "mildly irritating to the skin (link)." I don't really want to invest in a product only to have the result be compromised by irritation.
http://www.davidsuzuki.org/issues/health/science/toxics/chemicals-in-your-cosmetics---parabens/
This is interesting. I keep reading cosmetic companies writing about parabens being a naturally occurring substance (in fruits, etc) so they can't possibly be harmful when applied topically.

In addition, studies indicate that methylparaben applied on the skin reacts with UVB leading to increased skin aging and DNA damage. v,vii
Parabens occur naturally at low levels in certain foods, such as barley, strawberries, currents, vanilla, carrots, and onions, although a synthetic preparation derived from petrochemicals is used in cosmetics. Parabens in foods are metabolized when eaten, making them less strongly estrogenic. vii In contrast, when applied to the skin and absorbed into the body, parabens in cosmetics bypass the metabolic process and enter the blood stream and body organs intact. It has been estimated that women are exposed to 50 mg per day of parabens from cosmetics. viii |

I love the Antioxidant Booster. I apply it maybe once or twice a week (after I use a Rhassoul clay mask). I apply it "straight" - but it does stain your skin orange for a few hours. I really like it and the simple ingredient list.
I tried LMC serum.. will not reorder. Just to gritty; did not notice a difference and did not feel good on the skin.
Have also tried the Be Kind Rewind Cream. Ok. I was not as consistent with it as I should have been to give it a fair judgement. What I can say is that it is not moisturizing... more of a treatment than anything else. |

I really like their ELS Serum which I would describe as more of an oil than a serum:
Every Lipid Serum with Ceramide
Ingredients: Squalane and Olea Europea (Olive) Fruit Extract, Rosa Rubiginosa (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Oil, Lecithin, Cholesterol Oleyl Carbonate and Cholesteryl Nanoate and Cholesteryl Chloride, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Oil and Astaxanthin and Tocotrienols and Lycopene and Alpha D-Tocopherol and Thioctic Acid and Lutein and Beta Carotene, Ceramide-3, Phytosterols, Gamma Oryzanol
It absorbs very quickly and is also great for barrier repair. |

I have been using Skinactives Lets make Collagen, leaving it for an hour and then applying the Every Lipid Serum,(which other people recommended to do on this forum as the LMC makes your skin feel quite dry) for the last week and a half. the ELS feels lovely when I put it on.
I also bought the canvas base cream and have mixed in the copper peptide and EGF, which come in tiny bottles. Again only been using for a week, so too early for results.
Although too early for results on fine lines, must say my skin is feeling extremely silky, need to stop touching it! |

So I received the Antioxidant Booster about two weeks ago. I've only used it twice so far. First off, the dispenser is really flimsy and cheap. I hope you have another container or top to use with it. The one that comes with it just drips it all over the bottle. And honestly, if it was $5, like a lot of 1 oz product samples on other DIY sites, it would understandable. But it's $17 so I expect it to come in decent packaging. I mean, we consumers can buy decent pump bottles for a buck, so bulk orders come out costing pennies per unit.
Anyway, so far I've applied it with a bit of grapeseed oil mixed it. I'm going to try it with squalane now that I got my shipment. It does go on orange, but most of it disappears by morning. I'll be doing it as an overnight treatment once or twice a week. One thing I should mention is that it does contain astaxanthin, which is a potent antioxidant. And 5 ml of Astaxanthin on SA will set you back $14.50 so this booster is good value. |

I hate when packaging is not good. Not good customer service from the beginning. But I will be interested to see how you go with the product itself. |

Has anyone here tried the Capillary Health Cream?
I was thinking of trying their serum quartet which includes the DMAE, CHAS, LMC and ELS serums and came across the capillary one. Would be nice if it worked but there are very few things, if any, short of laser treatements that work on broken caps. I have 3 tiny ones on my face that I would like to address. |
