Hi all,
This is my first post . I've been searching for a good pair of UPF driving gloves with full wrist coverage (and even forearm, if I could find it) for my frequent bouts of driving, not much luck, and hoping someone has a pair she loves, and can point me in the right direction.
To date, I've simply been slathering extra sunscreen on my hands and forearms before hopping in the car (and again mid commute on longer trips), but the messiness, remembering to re-apply, white streaks on my steering wheel (and clothing, if I'm not careful), etc., are getting a bit old.
I live in Texas, where it's often mind boggling hot out, so a pair with some "breath ability" without compromising on the sun protecting value would be ideal. "Coolibar" is what keeps popping up on Amazon and most of Google searches. They seem only to have the hand coverage length, and mixed reviews. Does any here have a pair they love or a good brand to recommend? I'd like to prevent as much sun damage as is possible on my hands.
Thanks in advance to anyone who responds! |

Have you considered purchasing a couple of pairs of vintage day gloves from eBay or Etsy? Mid forearm is a common length but there are shorter and longer ones. I would use these alongside a non-greasy sunscreen. If you use one containing micronised zinc you will not have the problem of white streaks. |

Have you thought about having your car windows tinted? |

In a search, I found something called a sun sleeve from Eclipse. They looked like legwarmers for arms. It also looks like something that could be easily made as a DIY with the right fabric. |
